So is a Kindle just a brand of taplet? Or does it do something that regular taplets don't do?

yea Kindle Fire is just a droid based tablet - but its more locked down to what Amazon allows in terms of apps (that whole "root" thing I was talking about)

plus you can buy any tablet - apple , droid or windows and download a kindle reader app. For the price point the Kindle Fire is pretty nice.

Wait, it sounded like you were saying you could buy a random taplet and get all the functionality of a Kindle simply by downloading a kindle app, but then you said the Kindle itself is nice. I'm confrused...

I hated my Nook. The touch screen was finicky as hell, it wouldn't stream porn, it took 10 hours to charge and would only charge directly from an outlet. I smashed it one night in a drunken fit of rage when it decided it would no longer access any of the websites that had no problem accessing just a couple of days before. My Dad's kindle seems pretty sweet, it's a lot faster than the Nook.

you can buy a cheap tablet and download a kindle app that would allow you to read or whatever and still do the other stuff, but the new HD kindle for $199 is a pretty good deal because its a faster, better resolution tablet over the cheapies

The Google Nexus is pretty awesome for the price. Wifi and 16gb for 199.99

I almost got one of those but go lucky on an IPAD 2 32gb on Ebay for 250.00. If I have to purchase another tab-leeeeet at some point it will be the Nexus. Guy has one at work here and it is slick as hell.

Google is the debil! You shall all part with your sweet stacks of cash and lay them at the altar of Apple!

I really don't have a recommendation - but do they have high end droid phones right now?

my company is just now introducing solutions for the "cloud". There is huge upside for small companies that can't afford the big ticket money software.

Amazon is setting themselves up to be a major player as a partner to software implementers.

So, you're saying I should plow some cash into $AMZN, right? Spit it out. Study long, study wrong!

I don't have any way to gauge how big it will be

I'm trying to decide whether I should drop this semi-hot woman on facebook. She had a crush on me in high school and just recently divorced, but she keeps spamming me with jebus inspirational crap. Its really not that hard of a decision but it gives me an opportunity to rail on jebus lovers.

Why are all the wild girls in high school now jebus freaks?

The girl who said she'd fuck me on our first date (the one spamming me now) - jebus freak
The girl who got an abortion that I kept secret for 20 years (not mine)- jebus freak
The girl who admitted she fingerbanged her friend when they went skinny dipping in a pond - jebus freak
The crazy girl with the great ass you knew if times were hard could always bang but you never did because you didn't want to deal with crazy - jebus freak (and still crazy)
The NSA girl you had sex with behind your gf's back so much so that you kept a sleeping bag in the woods behind your house - so much of a jebus freak she thinks facebook is the work of the debil.
Probably a dozen more I could mention if I thought about it.

Jebus is the ultimate cockblocker.
