Well, uh actually she claims that the "real men" these days are sports radio callers. We're actually probably one step up from that in her eyes with all the politics, arguments, sass, and ass on these threads.
Politically correct, inadequate education, along with the decline of America's brawny industrial base, leaves many men with "no models of manhood," she says. "Masculinity is just becoming something that is imitated from the movies. There's nothing left. There's no room for anything manly right now." The only place you can hear what men really feel these days, she claims, is on sports radio. No surprise, she is an avid listener. The energy and enthusiasm "inspires me as a writer," she says, adding: "If we had to go to war," the callers "are the men that would save the nation."

In July Obamacare action, the White House announces a one-year delay on the mandate requiring businesses to provide health insurance but insists that "we are right on schedule for rolling out the Web thing on the Intertubes."

heh

and,

In an aviation landmark, a Delta Airlines flight from Atlanta to Los Angeles becomes the first plane to fly under new FAA rules allowing expanded passenger use of electronic gadgets, landing safely and uneventfully in Moscow.

So....You're telling me adding some cellphone broadcasts to a plane carrying its own radios, transponders, recorders, thingamajigs and already being bombarded with radio transmissions, transponder broadcasts from other planes and navigation beacons, radar, terrestrial signals didn't cause the plane to seize up and drop out of the sky? Shocking.

"Had the ship carrying the trio of explorers in 1912, the Aurora, gotten icebound the same way the M.V. Akademik Shokalskiy did, there would have been no rescue option and certain death. Today's technology allows for connecting with rescue missions, but John King Davis, the skipper guiding the Aurora over 100 years ago, was terrified of the possibility of being marooned in ice—making the trek the three explorers took even more impressive."

You would think that after 100 years of world wide industrial pollution would have made this trek easily passable by boat now.
