"Record High in U.S. Say Big Government Greatest Threat

Now 72% say it is greater threat than big business or big labor"

As if those were 3 separate entities...

So when Martin Bashir essentially said that he hoped someone would shit in Sarah Palin's mouth, and MSNBC fired him, toe was pissed off about his "freedom of speech" being violated, right?

Because the 1st Amendment protects you from being fired from your job if you call your boss an asshole, right?

President Bush, to Tom Brokaw April 24th:

The Dixie Chicks are free to speak their mind. They can say what they want to say...they shouldn't have their feelings hurt because some people don't want to buy their records when they speak out...freedom is a two-way street

Actually the Chicks lost their top sponsor (Lipton) and many radio stations refused to play their songs, but dubya's point is well taken. The part about freedom is a two-way street thingy, for sure.

Adam Baldwin got shit-canned from MSNBC recently for using a slur against gays. Martin Bashir's said derogatory things about Sarah Palin and was likewise shown the door.
It's all free speech, just different levels of public persecution, which is also your strategy.
LOL

“To express yourself in a magazine in an interview — this is the level of punitive PC, utterly fascist, utterly Stalinist, OK, that my liberal colleagues in the Democratic Party and on college campuses have supported and promoted over the last several decades,” Paglia said. “This is the whole legacy of free speech 1960’s that have been lost by my own party.”

In other news...
It’s hard to come up with new ways to describe the Obama administration’s improvisational approach to the Affordable Care Act’s troubled health insurance exchanges. But last night, the White House made its most consequential announcement yet. The administration will grant a “hardship exemption” from the law’s individual mandate, requiring the purchase of health insurance, to anyone who has had their prior coverage canceled and who “believes” that Obamacare’s offerings “are unaffordable.” These exemptions will substantially alter the architecture of the law’s insurance marketplaces. Insurers are at their wits’ end, trying to make sense of what to do next.

I got to keep my old shitty policy, but BCBS greedy ass took the opportunity to jack the price up by almost 30%, figuring that I wouldn't care since it was still half of what I was going to have to pay at the exchange...

The Salinas Police Department recently issued a news release proudly announcing the arrival of the armored truck built to survive minefield explosions, which it got compliments of federal taxpayers as part of a program to convert military equipment to law-enforcement use.
And camo uniforms? For a city police dept.?

The comments to this story are hilarious. Apparently everybody who follows this website believe oprama is gearing up for his big marshall law/takeover by militarizing local law enforcement agencies. Exhibit A... Salinas PD.

Good find, 10ac.

Declassified FBI/HUAC records labeled "It's a Wonderful Life" as 'communist propaganda" back in 1946. Merry Christmas!

http://www.thewire.com/entertainment/20 ... da/356455/

The original document is linked to in that article...it's actually fascinating to skim through. They pick apart movie after movie from 1943-47 as being filled with communist filth
