my mom was driving my grandmother back from the doctor back in the mid 90's. She ran a stop light and was plowed into by a truck - knocked the shit out of the car.

My grandmother was like 88 and my mom was in her early 60's. They were both messed up bad in the wreck and my mom pretty much had her scalp peeled back and she was in out and of consciousness.

At the hospital she told me this story of my grandmother talking to the firemen that were cutting them out of the car. She got smashed in the mouth and couldn't talk well and she kept repeating a question to the fireman who couldn't understand her. Eventually my mom figured out that my grandmother was asking him "is she dead?" but in her pain and misery, my grandmother ended up snapping at the guy and after the 3rd time said "is she D....E....A....D.?"

Yep, like the scene in No Country for Old Men when the wife's cancer-ridden mom is in the back seat of the cab and asks "Do you know how many people I know in El Paso?", then holds up her hand in the form of a zero and says "That's how many"...

Cal really is turning UK into UNC. The standard criticism of Dean Smith is that he should've won so many more titles with all the talent he had. UK has 20 first round draft picks (many of them lottery picks) in 5 years and only one title to show for it? Hmmmm....
