"And I don't think there is any doubt that Jesus actually existed. Both the Roman Pliny and Jewish Josephus were from the 1st century, opponents of Christianity, yet acknowledged the existence of the man Jesus in their writings."

"Gas prices here in the great State Of Cincinnati have been between 3.19 & 3.29 for the past few months once reaching 3.09 for a day or so."

The author, 66-yr-old Camille Paglia, divorced her lesbian companion in order to stalk a Brazilian pop diva over the last few years (the singer wouldn't leave her husband, so Paglia had to content herself with organizing an international fanclub instead). Paglia fancies herself as a radical liberterian and a gadfly to any celebration of womanhood ("behind every great woman is....mankind"). She admires Sarah Palin and equates feminism with communism.

Put a dress on IB and these two are a match made in heaven.

A History of the WAR ON CHRISTMAS

Henry Ford was an avid proponent of the idea that someone—or more precisely, some group—was waging a war on Christmas.

“Last Christmas most people had a hard time finding Christmas cards that indicated in any way that Christmas commemorated Someone's Birth,” according to The International Jew: The World's Foremost Problem, a widely distributed set of anti-Semitic articles published in the automobile magnate’s newsweekly during the 1920s. “People sometimes ask why 3,000,000 Jews can control the affairs of 100,000,000 Americans. In the same way that ten Jewish students can abolish the mention of Christmas and Easter out of schools containing 3,000 Christian pupils.”

In 1959, it was the far-right John Birch Society that published a pamphlet alerting the nation to an "assault on Christmas" carried out by "UN fanatics...What they now want to put over on the American people is simply this: Department stores throughout the country are to utilize UN symbols and emblems as Christmas decorations.”

I actually like Camille Paglia alot. Her book Sexual Personae is a good read and her take on modern culture is often spot-on. She's also a pretty serious scholar who has written some good books of poetry criticism. Even when I disagree with her, I enjoy reading what she has to say...

It's all free speech, just different levels of public persecution, which is also your strategy.

I'm sure Robertson's opinion/comments would just hard to find among the US populace.

And I'm sure you spend lots and lots of your money at places owned and operated by those who you feel are a bit too uppity towards whites (or whatever other foul group you associate yourself with)...

Record High in U.S. Say Big Government Greatest Threat

Now 72% say it is greater threat than big business or big labor
by Jeffrey M. Jones

PRINCETON, NJ -- Seventy-two percent of Americans say big government is a greater threat to the U.S. in the future than is big business or big labor, a record high in the nearly 50-year history of this question. The prior high for big government was 65% in 1999 and 2000. Big government has always topped big business and big labor, including in the initial asking in 1965, but just 35% named it at that time.....

...the latest update comes from a Dec. 5-8 poll. Gallup has documented a steady increase in concern about big government since 2009, rising from 55% in March 2009 to 64% in November 2011 and 72% today. This suggests that government policies specific to the period, such as the Affordable Care Act -- perhaps coupled with recent revelations of government spying tactics by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden -- may be factors.
