I was visiting my mom who just spent a week in the hospital for salmonella poisoning from a Chinese restaurant.

We had KFC.

I don't normally get too pumped up about high school recruits but there is a kid named Thon Maker and he is a point guard in a 7' body.

Crazy good and he is just a junior.

the problem is not cleaning up the wreck and scraping the body off the asphalt

its the rubbernecking

only good thing about CB radio was knowing where the wrecks were and how far it was backed up

Something tells me that Sterling is not regretting his racist comments...

If he's proven to be looney this might take awhile. Plus, that a hell of a lot of capital gains taxes. 13 million to 2 billion? Ouch.

The whole thing is funny, but of particular note to Carolina fans, at the very end, Popovitch refers to "the old Dean Smith/Larry Brown thing"...

The taxes are high, but that's the only reason I can imagine the offer was $2bn. NO ONE had the Clips valued that highly. He could have paid $400 - 600 million less and still easily beat every offer. However, that offer keeps the Sterlings from really fighting it because they really wanted to avoid the Cap Gain tax if the team sold for $800 million. If they waited till the old man died, the heirs would get it gifted to them and the taxes would have been lower. Now, it doesn't matter because their after-tax haul will still be more than they would had rec'd if they got market price on the franchise.

I guess if a headphone company can sell for $3 billion, a basketball team can sell for $2bn.

The girlfriend and I went shopping for a ring today. I told her I want her to show me what she wants before I buy anything. I refuse to shop with just one jeweler. I want to price the rings and haggle as much as possible because I am not just going to bend over and take it from those overpricing assholes.

I'm glad I bought my wife a nice ring - I didn't realize how many women talk about it after she gets it.

Yeah. My wife's ring (which isn't over the top, by any means) caused a fight between a friend of her's and her husband.

Bitches.

See I am glad I have a wife that doesn't want a big gaudy ring and such. Now she got a flat low profile chocolate diamond ring that she loves that wasn't cheap but overall, she isn't a big jewelry or material thing type girl.

It sucks shopping for her but on the other hand, it saves me a shit pot of money.

I won my ex wife's engagement ring at a carnival. Her 2nd husband spent 8 grand. Who's the sucker now? Probably me but still to this day she thinks it's was real. She threw it at me when it was over so she probably still regrets not selling it thinking it was worth more than $1 at a darts game? Dumb bitch.

I think the fact the dude wiped it off trumps that. Half of you would have met Hizzy with that kick. The other half are meeting Crow at a UK film breakdown.

Marrying you should be enough to sate any woman's desire for big gaudy anything...
