It would help if they didnt give crappy teams a bye
Crappy teams, like SEC champion, Georgia? heh heh heh
ASU beats Texas if their defensive coordinator doesn't fuck up in the first overtime and put 7 guys on the line on that 4th and 13 play. He rushes 2, drops everyone else in pass coverage, they win the game. But he fucked up. I'll never understand why.
And Oregon was 13-0. They were the number one team in college football, they get a bye. They played their worst football of the season yesterday. Serves them right.

So do you leave it at 12 teams or just make it 8 (which would be fine for determining a national champion)? Or go to 16 and make em all play the first round (which would be fine too)?

This year? The first year of this format? That is correct.
None of us will ever live long enough to see that happen, ever again. It never will happen again, not in any of our lifetimes. Mathematically, it is one chance in sixteen that every bye team loses, first round. But in reality, try one in a thousand. Oregon had to suck (which they did.) ASU had to fuck up (which they did.) And Georgia had to have their best player get a season ending injury before the game. Boise State had to make so many mistakes while at the same time, Boise's Heisman candidate had to play his worst game of the season. All of those things had to happen, simultaneously, for this one in sixteen event, to occur.

Kiffin might want to dial the rhetoric back beating a Duke team without their star QB

Duke’s star QB would have made zero difference last night.

We’re busy getting 14+ teams into the NCAA Tournament to keep the three ACC teams that’ll get there some company.

Referring to this. I made mention of the "first year of this format" in an effort to defend it. I did not think I would like it, but I do. I do NOT like the results of the games, but I like the format. Its just that you and I can't be pissed at who wins or loses. They got the right 12 teams in the playoffs. Alabama lost their bowl game so they didn't belong. If Ole Miss has a bitch for not being chosen, then BYU has a MUCH bigger bitch. The committee didn't pick on the SEC, their conference champion couldn't even win a game.

That is right aTm, we suck at hoops this year. No doubt.

Dirk Koetter on today's retirement from Boise State football
He just couldn't get past the concept of the transfer portal and NIL. Neither could Nick Saban. Neither can many of these coaches.
Look guys, its rough. I get it. But you make the big bucks. So, no sympathies. Go work at a sporting goods store.

at least they are walking away from it. The real hypocrisy would be to stick around, take the check and fail until they fired you
you know, like Mark Stoops is doing

I’m a fan of the voice over comedy like they did with Biden over the campaign. This one is a Kirby Smart post game press conference.

laugh all you want. BYU beat SMU. And they were one "ch" from beating ASU in Tempe. Ole Miss couldn't do that.

Ole Miss wipes their ass with all of those teams. This has to be a bit you’re doing.
