Re: College Football
I understand the need for freedom to move around, but college football needs to dial it back before it becomes unwatchable. It’s pretty bad now.

Re: College Football
As you already know, NIL is entirely decentralized and completely unregulated. No one (no singular entity) has any real "authority" to tell these alumni groups (who aren't even officially affiliated with the university) when they can dole out the money. That is by design, a feature, NOT a bug. To centralize would make it possible (and likely) to have government regulation and Title-IX equality restrictions. De-centralization to make it damn near impossible to regulate them is the main reason why these NILs were independently formed! At any time, any NIL can self regulate and tell their athletes, play the bowl and you get the money. Problem is, the "Top. Men." are just going to say fuck you and deal with another NIL and get their money (no strings attached) and go to their school.

Bengals better have a fire sale on this defense in the off season
I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

Cam Ward decided to sit out at halftime

Maybe his NIL money was only guaranteed if he started the game????

In a shocking development, IB is showing his ignorance. The House settlement — if / when approved — not only deals with revenue share but would also have some NIL regulations. It’s not complete NIL regulation. It’s flawed because schools/boosters will exploit the obvious loophole quickly, but it’s an attempt.innocentbystander wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2024 12:04 pmAs you already know, NIL is entirely decentralized and completely unregulated. Re: College Football
At the end of November 2005, the Steelers were barely still mathematically in the playoff picture, although practically out. They rattled off 4 wins to end the year to secure the 6th and final Wild Card spot, at that time. Proceeded to march through and win Super Bowl XL.
Sad for me to say, I’m getting the same vibe with the Bengals. Only difference is that Bengals defense wasn’t as good, but it feels like a team of destiny right now.

No DS, I am not wrong. I know you are a lawyer and because of that, you might think everything in the world revolves around you and your silly civil settlements, but let me clue you in on something counselor: this is a legal settlement, not a federal regulation. You know what the difference is? You damn well better before you challenge me again.DooKSucks wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2024 9:20 amIn a shocking development, IB is showing his ignorance. There is no law on the books The NILs are not in anyway affiliated with the schools who's athletes they brib-(whoops)-I mean, sponsor.
Anyone can give anyone any gift, no strings attached. The only interest the government have in any of these gifts is for tax purposes. Thus, an NIL could dodge any real attempt at serious federal consequences until an actual law is put on the books. That is assuming an actual federal bill could be signed into law. You think people like AOC and Rashid Talib are sophisticated enough to know what the fuck is going on with these NILs? Or would cunts like those two just punt and spin up some bullshit, taxpayer funded fucking agency, who can go and set policy (as law) on the fly, and have it change with the wind depending on who is sitting in the White House?
Its the Wild West DS. Alumni want to win. Money talks. Everything else is bullshit. You want these kids playing for your school so your school can win, give them your money. Who better to do that than an NIL?

Re: College Football
Bengals need the Broncos to lose to the Chiefs who will be resting most of the team. Good luck with that.

Re: College Football
I wish but the Chiefs don't want us in the playoffs & they're going to rest starters. Plus, we still have to play you guys & that one hell of a task in itself. It's been fun having hope up to week 18 but I'm not counting on a miracle.sardis wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2024 1:23 pm At the end of November 2005, the Steelers were barely still mathematically in the playoff picture, although practically out. Kentucky lands Georgia's back up QB in the portal. He has such a miserable experience at UK, he announces his retirement from football

Okay, the bye week means you lose (at least it does this year.)
ASU should have won. They fucked themselves in overtime. None of the others had a chance.

It would help if they didnt give crappy teams a bye

Exactly…
The older I get the more I pretty much hate every cocksucker that is making decisions in this world and all of the idiots that root for political parties like sports teams. — aTm
