Damn no comments on the game?
Got our ass kicked - broke a remote.
Kicked ass in the second - may have our next great QB - but gotdamn how can we look so clueless in all phases of the game for long stretches of it?????

Not all phases of the game were lacking...our freshman punter/kicker and freshman FG kicker were on point all night.
It feels like our coaching staff doesn't game plan at all. "We're going to run our normal offense and defense and see if it works", then they adjust at halftime and look like geniuses. Kelly made some really nice throws in that first half and their receivers did a great job of going after it, but once we decided to play aggressively on the defensive line, we started dominating them. I also like rolling Francois out of the pocket because our OL isn't steady enough to create a pocket for several seconds. One of them breaks down every play it seems.

FSU's next opponent, Charleston Southern, has had to suspend upwards of thirty players, including the entire starting offensive line, for tomorrow's game. What hideous sins have these young men committed? They were advised by school bookstore employees to use whatever portion of their scholarship book money was left over after buying books to buy other school supplies, so they did. I hope someone from the NCAA steps in and exercises a bit of merciful common sense here, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I consider beer and cocaine a school supply...

You are hoping for common sense snd the NCAA? Naiveté. It's what's for breakfast.
Bwahahahaha!

If these suspensions stand, Charleston Southern has to consider whether or not it's worthwhile to play this game. They've only got at most 63 scholarship players. I'm sure their athletic department needs the money, but sending a team of forty or so FCS backups and walk-ons to play Florida State might be competitive malpractice.

They want the money. Maybe the clock guy can speed it up.

Well, to be fair, they said they bought "other school supplies (and electronics)". If you saw Last Chance U, there's a scene where the kid buys a pair of headphones from the school bookstore, apparently with book money, and I suspect these kids did similar things. I'm not saying they did anything egregious but most of the larger schools will have people in the AD submit purchase orders for only the books indicated on the syllabus and the bookstore then delivers the books because this issue has bitten several teams in the past.

I'm not surprised we lost, but that was an absolutely pathetic display of coaching on Saturday. On defense, we're thinking too much. On offense, everything is over-complicated. We can often out-athlete teams or exploit specific weaknesses (the back 7 of Ole Miss for example). But teams like Louisville with quality athletes and excellent coaches will continue to beat us.

Could not agree more - Petrino vs Kelly on that side of the ball was a friggin disastrous mismatch
On the bright side - I just got back from Vegas and the easiest money in the house was the Cardinals first half. I had planned on cashing that at the half and then putting half on the Noles in the 2nd half. I wisely kept that money in my pocket.
UP UP UP

Any win vs Miami is a good one.
We are now one game short of evening the series record.
Excellent

The good Dr. speaks truth, and I would like to add that any win vs Miami that makes their fans extra salty is an extra good one. I laughed maniacally when Walker blocked the PAT.
