This year fer sur.

Oregon does not play Indiana or Penn State. Buckeyes playing both Penn State and Indiana. SEC rooting against both Indiana and Penn State that is for damn sure. 3 undefeated B1G-T(en, uhh, 11, whoops 12, maybe 16 now)N teams going into the first week of December is taboo for SEC playoff opportunities. And it is still mathematically possible.

Apparently, Notre Dame beating an unbeaten Navy means they go up 4 spots in the national polls to #9 nationally. Meh. Yeah Notre Dame is great, but there are more than 8 teams that are better than them.

Oregon
Pitt
Miami
Army
Penn State
Indiana
BYU
Iowa State

Who will be the next to fall?

This is all a joke.

We haven't had our first playoff poll come out yet. Next week will be the first. The so called "experts" who are making predictions, I haven't seen one 12 team playoff poll with less than 4 SEC teams in it: Alabama, Georgia, Texas, and Tennessee. The SEC has no undefeated teams, but they get at least 33% of the playoff berths. And the so called "experts" are all predicting that it will be Kansas State (not BYU and not Iowa State) with the bye week. And why? Blatantly obvious to me. K-State fans travel to games and spend money in these cities whereas BYU and Iowa State fans aren't traveling or spending anything. And BYU beat K-State.

What a fucking joke. K-State gets they playoff bye week and BYU doesn't even get a playoff berth! The more things change with college football the more they stay the same. He who has the most spendy and most numerous fans at games, their team gets all the benefits and playoff accolades. Fuck merit or overall record.

You should probably study what the actual format is before whining about the media analysis. Which teams gets the first round byes is virtually automatic and has almost no room for any bias about which fans travel well. If someone has Kansas State with a bye it is because they are projecting forward that Kansas State will win the Big 12 championship game.

Seeds 1-4, and therefore the byes, are given to the top 4 highest ranked conference champions. The next highest ranked conference champion is also guaranteed a spot

I KNOW that. I know the bye teams get automatic berths based on winning their conference. My "bitch" is predicated on the "experts" having some kind of financial interest in predicting (more like hoping) that BYU and Iowa State both start losing because K-State no longer plays either one of them! K-State can't do anything if BYU and Iowa State keep winning. They already blew it.

Correct. And there is no rational reason as to why anyone would think one of those teams would be K-State. Its likely that K-State will not even be playing for the Big-XII Championship. And that might be a financial disaster for the playoffs as BYU and Iowa State fans do not travel nor do they spend money.

"Experts" have a financial interest in riling up rubes with their content.

Iowa and Iowa State both travel very well for their programs.

Memphis has chosen Iowa State 2x in the past 7-8 years for the Liberty Bowl because they travel so well.

BYU, on the other hand, can keep their racist asses at home.

They’re afraid to come back to Memphis. It might not be pretty.

Texas A&M is in sole possession of first place in the SEC, but I notice you didn't whine about them not being included.

Did something happen other than those dipshits not spending any money in the town?

2014 Miami Beach Bowl…huge postgame brawl…

Multiple Memphis players have reported numerous racial slurs being used all game long.

They should be included. I think worst case scenario, you guys go 10-2 and are at least playing in the SEC championship.
