Jalen Hurts showing up high on the NFL player poll for overrated qbs. Another one I called years ago. Damn, I'm smooth. Have I ever gotten anything wrong ever? I feel there was one thing but can't remember it at the moment.

1) that was a rough injury. Mack said it’s his hip though.

2) it was as if you felt the interception before he even threw it. As soon as he launched it off his back foot I said “oh fuck” because you just knew it was destined to be picked.

3) Both teams suck,

Yes to all of this. We’ve gone from back to back NFL starters at QB, to the embarrassing types we had when Hedge and I were at Carolina. If he reads this post, he’ll cringe at memories of Steven Jerry, Dan Walkowiak, and the Ebony & Iviory Burnett(e) “brothers” — Chuckie & Todd. DS, I bet you remember those turds from your early fandom, too.

Oh yes, I remember. Some of the dum-dums at IC (a lot of them, actually) constantly complained over the past 5 years and truthfully we should've had more wins than we did, but we had 5 years of elite quarterbacks and receivers and a couple of years with elite running backs too. It was fun watching an elite level offense even if the defense sucked. I always felt like we had a chance to outscore anybody even if we (obviously) didn't always do it, and of course there were a few bad offensive games in there but they were few and far between.

Now we're back to having terrible offense and defense (a lot of people were talking last night about how our defense has "improved," well, it could've hardly gotten any worse, but it still ain't good) and a terrible offense. All those people whining over the past 5 years don't know how good we had it. Being excited every week, knowing you were likely to see an offensive show.

Hell, Michael Carter and Javonte Williams put up 550 yard rushing against Miami one game, I think that's an NCAA record. Drake Maye averaged 300 yards passing per game over 2 years, we got 105 last night. This is the same shit sandwich kind of team UNC has produced for the majority of my life, yet some fans complain about the last 5 years? Fucking clueless...

Good Times @ Miami…

Worst of times here…

Chuckie Burnette threw six interceptions that game.

So yeah, these young’uns today have no idea how awful our football program was back then. Hell, most of my life (as Hedge noted).

I wish I could find a full boxscore of that sacrilege vs dook* in 1989. Somehow, I recall making that Chuckie’s Mark of the Beast game sacrifice to the blew devils. Six picks. Six sacks. Six “WTF?!’s”.

Notre Dame looked incredibly strong "defensively." We all know at the very beginning of the season, college defenses (the good ones) look GREAT. That is because it is a lot easier to get excellent defensive players to play as a team EARLY than it is for excellent offensive players. You don't need as much time to adjust to each other. That said, to go down to the 12th man and to beat aTm's team in Texas like that (those timely interceptions), that is saying something else entirely.

The Irish offense? Meh, Hot garbage so far.

Now, I know it is kind of a home game for USC but still, if LSU loses in Vegas to the Trojan men, there will be hell to pay in Baton Rouge tomorrow morning.
