There are also Dems who oppose Common Core....Why? Because there are many on the left who don't like any ounce of public school accountability

Support it, hate it? Doesn't matter. Just be consistent. Don't change just because someone you don't like decides to support it.

Head of AIG declares that anger over multi-million dollar bonuses for his executives is just as morally wrong as lynching blacks in the old South. There's another fine quote from your typical Wall Street CEO comparing the mistreatment of the wealthy in America to Jews during the Holocaust.

Ted Cruz is holding a fake filibuster on the Senate floor, railing against Obamacare, and Fox is making sure he gets as much publicity as he needs!!!

Meanwhile...more news that Cruz won't use

"In many cases, premiums will cost significantly less than what was originally projected," Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius told reporters. The report finds that 95 percent of Americancs live in states where the premiums for individually purchased health insurance will be less than what had originally been expected.

Then I must be in the 5% because my premiums keep going up for less and less coverage.

That article was about individual (non-group)policies that are just now coming on line under the ACA.

Group coverage premiums have been on a skyrocket trajectory since the 80s. Out of pocket costs to the insureds have followed suit. Whatever is going on with your insurance plan is the result of what your employer and/or health insurer is doing to you...obamacare hasn't kicked in yet.

I guess we can put this in the good news category, since everyone will only have part-time jobs.

Hate to hear that your employer is cutting you back, toe. Surely it's no reflection on your performance or worth to the company.

“Premiums nationwide will also be around 16 percent lower than originally expected,” HHS cheerfully announces in its press release. But that’s a ruse. HHS compared what the Congressional Budget Office projected rates might look like—in 2016—to its own findings. Neither of those numbers tells you the stat that really matters: how much rates will go up next year, under Obamacare, relative to this year, prior to the law taking effect.

Former Congressional Budget Office director Douglas Holtz-Eakin agrees. “There are literally no comparisons to current rates. That is, HHS has chosen to dodge the question of whose rates are going up, and how much. Instead they try to distract with a comparison to a hypothetical number that has nothing to do with the actual experience of real people.”

Businesses have been cutting health benefits or eliminating them altogether for years, certainly before anybody ever heard of oprama. The Great Recession predated oprama as well, as was the climb to high unemployment.

Meanwhile, just four years after the worst shock to the economy since the 30's depression, U.S. corporate profits are stronger than ever. At the end of 2012, after-tax corporate profits were at an alltime high - their greatest percentage of GDP in history. Whereas worker's wages have fallen to their lowest-ever share of GDP.

Seriously, how do you square that? Best profit margins ever vs suckiest wage and benefit levels ever. Is that capitalism at it's absolute pinnacle?
