Count one tree hugger in for drawing and quartering the responsible parties on the White House lawn.
Seriously, though, who do you hit at this point? It's not like Pearl Harbor where you have a country to go fight. If it's Bin Laden they have been looking for his ass for years anyway.

The only way these people survive is they have STATE support. Without that state support the cannot exist. The time has come to declare war on EVERY country that harbors and supports terrorists. Without the help of the nation state terrorists could not operate at all. They are at war with us. Its time to end this bullshit.
The Taliban need to make their peace with God. As does Iran/Iraq/NK/Sudan/Syria/Jordan and anybody else I left off. Arrest Arafat and hang his ass.
Israel just became a much stronger ally.

Not true. Bin Laden exists because the Taliban and other govts ALLOW him to. Without that support he would have nowhere to hide.

You're right, TC- who do you hit? Although the Palestinians having a street party and giving out candy (just heard that on NBC) sound like a favorite right now...

How about we just napalm that fucking street party!
All we'd be doing is eliminating current and future terrorists.

This is more of a policework matter right now than the military operation it will soon become. I would like to see a concentrated intelligence operation determine the people behind it (who will most likely be the countries you named) and strike with all necessary force. Just wish we hadn't recently given about $40 million in aid to the Taliban for their part on the war on drugs.

Honestly dsl, that all sounds reasonable to me. I never gave Syria much thought until a couple weeks ago. Mostly, I'm just for smacking down some evil pos who poisons people and flips off the civilized world while doing it.

On that day I wanted the people responsible for the atrocity to pay. For the most part they havent. Most of the hijackers were Saudi, the planner of the hijacking was Saudi, and the base of the religious movement that encouraged this terrorism was Saudi, yet nothing has been done to change the situation in Saudi Arabia. The still export Wahhabist terrorism and the same people are still in charge and still spewing their fanatical bullshit. We let thousands of Al Qaida warriors escape Afghanistan to continue their fight and our erstwhile ally Pakistan still gives them refuge. What we have done is tear down an uninvolved government in Iraq (which deserved to come down) and embarked on a misguided attempt in nation building costing trillions in America's treasure and lives. What I want done in the Middle East hasnt changed my faith that the United States government could do anything remotely intelligent in that part of the world has completely disappeared and since I feel like all we will do is make an already bad situation worse I'd just as soon we tell them to kiss our ass and just get out of the region entirely.

That happened where I was living too. The oil company claimed that it was cause by a ruptured pipeline, or some other nonsense. That is one reason I've been suspicious of oil companies ever since.

The base of the movement was not in Saudi. At the time the base of the movement was in Afghanistan with support of the Afghanistan govt (Taliban). The majority who hit 9/11 were Saudi, because al Queda dislikes the Saudi govt and was able to recruit from Saudi's as a result.
In what way do you think we should have changed the situation in Saudi Arabia?

I know it was an emotional response, but puter's bright idea that we needed to preemptively nuke China "before they get started" just shows why you shouldn't let emotions dictate politics...
