Since I'm having a good run flummoxing a few of the regs with my football picks, I got the Lions, Cowboys, and 49ers all covering today.

Sam Howell is going to have to have a great day in order for the Shitstains not to cover.

Take Giants and the points Brahs. Now that we are the Jets lite forever, the gods will at least give us this one throwback to better times.

It appears Stoops was coach of A&M for about 30 minutes until the fans revolted.

the fans made the right decision

The problem for us is that there is another extreme available to our morons of “fine we’ll just do nothing and give it to the interim coach Robinson” who will be an even bigger disaster than Stoops would have been, and probably tantamount to just letting the same shitty staff keep coaching the team.

I wouldn't want Stoops but at the same time, its not like A&M has set the world on fire. I read they have had (2) 10 win seasons since 1998.

Stoops has had that many I think

Yeah and we fired them all. Im sure Stoops thinks that “shucks if I only had resources” or whatever that he’d be amazing or whatever because thats pretty much what anybody would hope. The idea that Kentucky is some impossible job is the only delusion that could possibly make you think Stoops is a good idea. Frankly Id be ok with someone who was an up and comer with his reaume, but Stoops is a high profile coach who would have commanded maybe a salary higher than Jimbo. Expending that kind of financial commitment for Stoops is just stupid, and maybe the majority of our fans wont be able to articulate it like that but they understand that he certainly gives a visceral reaction. Stoops is a bad fit, and the way our leadership was clearly blind to what the reaction would be is concerning.

Im not even sure that we even made it far enough down the rabbit hole for our fans to understand that Stoops’ last job as an assistant was under Jimbo Fisher.

he makes almost $9m a year and has some crazy buyout

A&M might as well go after Ohio St. coach as opposed to Stoops

Getting Day would be a pipe dream, but there are many smarter, low profile coaches you can hire. We should be hiring Jedd Fisch, imo. That hire wouldnt be a set the world on fire splash, it would just be a smart bargain.

Within the conference if we’re hiring 10 win coaches at lower tier schools, we should be hiring Lane Kiffin, and IMO the only reason we wont is some idiotic “well I dont like ‘im” nonsense

yea, I'll give A&M credit though

they demand to compete for an SEC championship. It may not happen but they'll keep going thru coaches and supporting the program, however misguided, in a desire to make that happen.

Kentucky is happy being a 7-5 school with a frontloaded schedule of MAC games to make sure we win at least 3, and made our coach the 8th highest paid guy in the nation for it.

its frankly embarassing.

whats funny is this is almost the Billy Gillispie situation in reverse, except Billy took the job and it turned out like everyone feared.
