Is there any evidence that Assad is currently trying to kill Americans?

Was there any evidence of WMDs in Iraq?

That was in 88. Took us awhile I guess to strike back.

When that picture was taken Saddam had already gassed tens of thousands of Iranians on the battlefield. Rumsfeld was obviously impressed.

This is where I'm supposed to counter with the pics of dubya strolling hand-in-hand through the park with the Saudi prince and then kissing him on the cheek.

Nah.

Assad is doing us a favor, and don't give me lip about innocent civilians. Every one of those rebel groups and their families hate our guts. We are just convenient for them right now.

Not bad. Kill people not because they do anything to us, but because they dislike us. That makes it quite easy.

We are not the ones doing the killing. If someone else attacks our enemy, why should we protest.

Your tone makes it seem like you're not terribly worried about innocent civilians being harmed...
IBut hey, if it means a third shift janitor goes home to his wife and children, I'm okay with that. But Allah help the poor suckers that are victimized by a newly-emboldened Iran or Russia.
I should have added the Norks.

Last but not least, has anybody ever seen Bashir Assad and Larry Bird in the same room at the same time? A coincidence? Perhaps not...

Was listening to some talk radio yesterday, somebody mentioned the possibility that Assad's opposition could be gassing people and hoping that everyone would think it was Assad doing it. Pretty fucking hardcore if that's the case...

I dont know one way or the other but nothing would surprise me any more. Those people cut the heads off of their own children for smiling at the wrong person. Gassing a few strangers wouldnt even register a blip.

Suits me if the administration calls off a response because there's no definitive proof regarding who used the gas. UN inspectors can verify the chemical deaths, but it's true that they can't say who fired what.

Speaking of UN inspectors, how 'bout we set the time machine back to early 2003. Give Blix and Co. a few more months to not find any you-know-what in you-know-where. Reset history in our favor; save a ton of lives, toil, and treasure.

Ah, but we were feisty back then. Not war weary like we are now, right?
