Buck Newton is a fucking idiot.

I was at a fundraiser in '14 where Betty McCain was speaking. She was hilarious, and then someone got her started on Buck Newton. It was hilarious.

I hope the Jewish guy eviscerates him in the general election for state AG. I'll bet you anything Buck didn't pass the bar on his first go-round.

I think the world has gone fucking crazy. I am tired of these people - whatever you want to call them - activists , liberals, I don't even know.

Pay Pal has announced it is cancelling plans for a $3.6 million center in North Carolina because of North Carolina's new law that prevents men with gender identity issues from entering women's bathrooms.

It turns out, though, that Pay Pal blithely continues to do business in 25 countries where homosexuality is TOTALLY ILLEGAL, including five where the penalty for being a homosexual is DEATH. In those countries, gays are considered perverts and get thrown off the top of 5-story buildings.

You mean the part about employees no longer being able to sue in state court for discrimination? Sure, they can still go the longer and more expensive federal route. What does this have to do with he-shes using the women's bathroom?

seems to go hand in hand with telling someone with a penis they can't go into a woman's bathroom

the next logical step is to sue for descrimination

Classic big gov't at work, trampling the rights of citizens. If you get fired because you're too old, you're now shit out of luck in NC.

well I agree that in the discrimination issue, they've overstepped their boundaries. Unfortunately this isn't why Bruce Springsteen , Paypal or anyone else is upset and showing their ass.

Classic political bait and switch tactics while the real issues go largely unnoticed.

He had to do that but he is admitting essentially that he's unqualified to be governor by pushing out shitty legislation in the first place.

And sorry, if that's whining over what should be fundamental rights (not the bathroom thing), then our country was built in whininess. I don't understand why anyone would have a problem calling out the rest of that bill, esp. the so-called Constitutional conservatives who get all butt-hurt over any infringement on their rights.

Then again, I don't know why Charlotte even bothered to make the transgender bathroom law to start with. Was it such a pressing need? If you dress like a woman but have a dick, just go in the women's room and no one will know unless they break the law and peep over the stall. So then you have a typical overreaction by the dittohead ilk and now we're losing money as a result of it. If those assholes raise my taxes over this shit, somebody's going to get their ass whipped over this, starting with Buck Newton.

I'm guessing either a significant % of their performers or customers are LBGT in the United States. Otherwise this is just faux outrage

---------------

Canada-based circus and theater entertainment company Cirque du Soleil has canceled its upcoming shows in Greensboro, Charlotte, and Raleigh in North Carolina to protest the state’s Public Facilities Privacy and Security Act.

“Cirque du Soleil strongly believes in diversity and equality for every individual and is opposed to discrimination in any form,” the group announced Friday in a press release. “The new HB2 legislation passed in North Carolina is an important regression to ensuring human rights for all.”

Cirque du Soleil’s North Carolina cancelation comes as a growing number of artists and entertainers abandon their respective performances in the state to protest of the Public Facilities Privacy & Security Act.

The world-famous circus, however, has not canceled its upcoming performances in the United Arab Emirates of Dubai.

Indeed, Cirque du Solei has a planned production, Varekai, scheduled to run from September 16 to 24 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The United Arab Emirates of Dubai has outlawed same-sex marriage, sex or gender reassignment surgery, adoption by same-sex couples, openly gay and lesbian military service, with the aforementioned being punishable by death, fines, or imprisonment.

Ummm, Cirque du Soleil is essentially a theater production. You do the math.
