Hedge, how 'bout George Bernard Shaw? We need to keep a watchful eye on him too. You can't trust those Irishmen, ya know.
Unless you require that a certain amount of oil produce in the U.S. not be sold on the open market and cost restrictive, then it doesn't matter whether it's frack or not. Prices even if home produced will still be subject to the world market which means we'll still be catering to the middle east as much as we do now.
And again, speaking as someone who works in that industry, there is no way our companies will be happy to keep on frackin if we can't sell it abroad.

New declassified documents prove the Reagan admin was aware that Saddam was using chemical weapons against Iran, kept supporting him anyways
We did it because we love freedom!

I very much agree with this assessment. This also means that increasing domestic production will not in any way going to decrease our involvement in the Middle East or have any significant impact on gas prices with the burgeoning Chinese market.

Since Allah is just a word that means God, then your statement could apply to Priest
(can't say that because it's girls. If it were boys being raped, then you could say Priest when referring to Allah).

Until we can significantly reduce our use of fossil fuels, we are going to be affected by what happens in the middle east. Much research support should go into how to get rid of spent nuclear rods and other efficient alternative energy sources. We also should be creating larger desalinazation plants 4 the future.

Obama isn't a "cruise missile up Assad's ass" kind of guy. I expect we will go to the UN with a sternly worded rebuke, which Russia and China will water down. In the end we will issue a mildly worded advisement, stating that, if anybody used chemical weapons on their own citizens, then that is entirely the fault of America, the West, and the Zionist entity.

"Fossil fuels?" "Alternative energy?" By that logic we need a whole new "Department of Alchemy" and "Ministry of Pixie Dust."

We'll lob a few cruise missiles at an aspirin factory in Syria at least 24 hours after we drop leaflets on the area giving the precise date and time of our attack so that innocent civilians aren't harmed.

Your tone makes it seem like you're not terribly worried about innocent civilians being harmed...

If Obama warns the people near a military strike, that's okay with me. The impending pin-prick cruise missile strike will be largely theatrical anyway. It will allow Obama to say to the world, "See? I did something about that gas attack." The Iranians and the Russians will see it as the theatre of US weakness that it will be, and they will accordingly plan even more confrontational and provocative acts than they would have otherwise.
But hey, if it means a third shift janitor goes home to his wife and children, I'm okay with that. But Allah help the poor suckers that are victimized by a newly-emboldened Iran or Russia.

Sounds like he's arguing for a much bigger engagement, not for Syria, but to scare Iran and Russia.
