South Bracket is definitely the easiest.
Always bet on Tom to the Izzo to make the Final Four.

Right about ALL of this. Totally agree.
I will say this about the midwest, whichever team survives that fucking bloodbath, whoever they are,
they will be carved out of wood. The last weekend of the tourney will be a breeze...

the good thing about us is we will give 100% every possession and have a fairly deep 8 or 9 we can interchange. marcus foster/wesley iwundu freshmanare smooth slashers and becoming deadly from outside. senior spradling also deadly and southwell a senior is very athletic. inside we have a lefty gibson that battles all day and DJ Johnson off the bench--Kentucky better not overlook us
Unfortunately we are not very big and I expect we will get in foul trouble inside and lose by 6 or so

Kentucky is definitely not overlooking Kansas St. I'm certain this team is in one game at a time mode. Few fans believe this will be an easy game for UK and wouldn't be surprised to see us lose

UK is already looking ahead to a Sweet 16 matchup with Louisville...

That's part of Cal's tweek, to not look at the next game or even the game after that, but 2 games out, to show so much confidence that the team can take the next two games for granted...

He's already telling them not to worry about Wichita St., b/c they're going to be too intimidated by the name on the front of the jersey to give UK much of a game...

I have to admit - I really want to see UK play Wichita St. We might get blown out and I can see Wichita St.'s motivation as the real undefeated team playing the supposedly undefeated team - but oh man - the motivation factor for Cal would be thru the roof. Redemption, Validation, proving your worth to the NBA - he could have a new motivation theme every 3 hours for these guys.
of course UK would lose badly to the team after Wichita if they won.
UK doesn't want any part of UL at this point.
Still Kansas St. looms. I see UK scoring most of their points in the paint against K St. and hopefully we can play enough defense to keep them off balance.

I repeat: This is the perfect bracket for UK. It's hard if not impossible to quantify motivation, but something has obviously been missing for this UK squad, and it ain't talent (even though I don't think most of these guys are quite as good as touted, they are still pretty damn good). If they can get past KState, motivation is not going to be a problem against an undefeated 1 seed, and then if you get by them, most likely playing arch rival Louisville. For a team like UK, if you're going to get an 8 seed, you're going to have to play good teams right off the bat, so you need a little something extra to get really get you going. Hard to see which 1 seed could've provided that better than Wichita State. Maybe Florida, but I doubt UK wanted any part of them, and the committee wasn't going to set up that rematch after just one week (and for the 4th meeting of the year). Bad seed for UK, but if that's what you got, they put you in the best bracket possible, IMO...

thats why we'll probably lose to Kansas St. Seems like those highly motivating matchups seldom happen in the tourney.

The Goat Pen Bracket

I didn't set a password or anything so I think if you have a yahoo account you can just enter it.
Also, joining this bracket does *NOT* enter you in the billion dollar bracket

If we can't shut down a pesky 6 ft. guard, we deserve to go home. Of course, that's probably what other teams are saying about UNC as well..

Providence is scary the way St Louis and Gonzaga are scary. Providence is a team that is just explosive enough to beat any team in college basketball, but could lose to pretty much any team as well. They play hell-bent. And in the tourney, these are the teams that give the so called "experts" fits because they are so unpredictable.
