•Top basketball prospect Reese verbally commits to A&M

COLLEGE STATION – The Reese Plan is coming together at Texas A&M. Bryan's J-Mychal Reese, one of the nation's top prospects at guard, verbally committed to play for new Aggies coach Billy Kennedy on Friday.

“I appreciate everybody showing love on my decision!!” Reese wrote Friday via Twitter.

Reese chose the Aggies over Kansas and Louisville. Meanwhile a Bryan official said Friday night that Bryan High boys basketball coach John Reese, J-Mychal’s father, has tendered his resignation and will round out Kennedy’s staff. John Reese is a highly respected coach in both the high school and AAU ranks, one insider said.

Bryan superintendent Thomas Wallis neither confirmed nor denied Reese’s pending resignation – Friday was an off day – and Bryan athletic director Harry Francis said nothing yet is official concerning a resignation from Reese

Wow, Kansas got Kansased by Texas A&M

So aTm has hired an AAU coach who would not only leverage his son into a job... but also named said son "J-Mychal" in front of God and country.

Georgia's coach Donnan bilked Gillispie out of $3m on top of the $2m he lost in the earlier mentioned ponzi scheme.

Gillispie has lost his entire UK salary during his tenure AND his settlement to ponzi schemes

John Reese to the A&M staff has been a possibility for like 5 years and 3 different head coaches now. As for J-Mike his stock has been falling for a few years for whatever reason. 2 years or so he was considered a top 5 player in the country.

Hiring an assistant to get a recruit isnt taboo anyway, That's their job, to recruit players for you. The shady loophole (which was eliminated) was hiring a non-recruiting position (Director of Basketball, or whatever) who had ties to a player whch effectively gave you an extra recruiter on staff.

Look at the Wuffie flailing about as soon as someone mentions basketball.

Maybe Gottfried can rally the troops for another inspiring NIT run.

Our basketball program hasn't been investigated in fifty years. No one accuses Carolina basketball of cheating except for State fans. Carolina beats State worse than Ike beat Tina, which is why State accuses Carolina of cheating.
