Now Prentiss Waggner looks like he has a neck injury. Maybe we should just forfeit the rest of the fucking season. This shit is getting ridiculous. It's one thing to have injuries, which are a part of the game as everyone knows. But it's like the finger of fate is going down the roster and selecting our best players for injury. I've never seen anything like it.

Fuck me sideways. These refs are so incompentent they have to review an extra point attempt to make sure he got it?! Can't they see the damn ball?! It's not like the ball is covered by several players and the refs have a hard time seeing it.

Miles made a mistake by not going for 7 there, IMO.

That's four less points that they win by.

Yeah, he probalby should've gone for the TD. Then again, we somehow seem to be hanging around and playing tough. LSU isn't pulling away from us and Miles knows it. Taking the points isn't a bad idea.

I actually like the way the team is playing, for the most part. But there is just a feeling of inevitability about this team -- like we're snake-bitten. No matter what good thing happens, it seems like something bad will happen to negate it. It's to the point that when we get a good play, I'm hesitant to celebrate right away. I just sit there and wait for it to be erased. We block an LSU FG and it gets erased, because of a penalty. We get a big 38-yard completion, it's negated by a 90-yard INT return on the very next play. Even a PAT that clearly went through the uprights and landed 10 rows up behind the tunnel needs several minutes of replay officiating before we can allow ourselves to be happy about it.

And until we win a big game, I think it's just going to continue to be that way.

For instance, we scored a TD late in the first half and held LSU to a FG (after letting them go the length of the field in about 20 seconds). If we hold true to our recent history, we will allow a couple of quick TDs early in the second-half. I'd like to see us not do that here, but it won't surprise me one little bit if we do.

I hate to be a pessimist, but this team has made me this way.

Boy, it looked like we got away with a bad facemask there. I also thought LSU got away with one on us in the first-half.

After a nice special teams play to down the ball on LSU's 1 yard line, they drive 99 yards for another TD.

Not always. But the only real question this time was not if but by how much
