As a Washington fan, it was a shitty afternoon, but that saved the day to some degree and shut the Cowboys fans up on the group text threads....

I don't get why he was so worked up over it. On top of that, its not like they came out and dominated the game

Yeah, they won on a last second TD that barely got in. What if the guy had been stopped a few inches short? Would that mean Ohio State wasn't tough?

He was a little overly fired up, for sure…maybe he has personal reasons for beating ND that had him extra exuberant?

Maybe he was diddled by a Notre Dame loving priest as a kid?

I’m no fan of Joe Burrow, but isn’t there anyone in the Bengal organization thinking that it’s a bad idea playing him right now? The guy can’t plant his foot to throw much distance. They are risking greater injury with him. I mean, I hope it happens, but perplexed why they are taking the risk.

It's a terrible idea but so is going 0-3.

Lots of people wanted him to sit but you knew if he could go he would. I was all for him starting.

reading a story on ESPN about Kiffin's rise and his time at USC.

Few people will feel sorry for him but USC shit on him, guy was down 30 scholarship players, had a winning seasons and they fired him mid season.

Anyways, the story goes on to his time at Alabama, his second year there, they open up against USC. Kiffen sends out the play sheet with the time stamp at the top noting the day he was fired at USC .

Here is an excerpt from the game from one of the offensive coordinators at UA......l

I remember in the middle of the game, we were winning pretty handily, and anybody who's worked for Coach [Saban] knows he's a class act when it comes to that stuff. He made the decision -- when he tells you to take the air out of the ball, as he likes to say, that means slow things down. We don't need to try to score. Keep the clock moving.

Well, Lane missed that conversation on the headset, and threw a Sluggo touchdown to Gehrig Dieter, and I can remember Coach on the headset saying, "Hey man, does it make you feel any better that you're doing this? Does it get you your job back?"

And I can remember Lane saying, 'No, it doesn't, but it sure feels good.'

And Coach went off on him after that.
