those guys are leeches, I understand that. I also understand that malpractice insurance is very high

but I can't support limiting restitution to someone who has been harmed or even killed by negligence or incompetence.

overkill with most of these class action suits and civil suits I've seen---Ive testified, been deposed and been a part of about 10 as a juror, witness, defendant once , peer to someone else 4-5 times

9 were settled because the organization said it was cheaper that way even though 80% were total bullshit only 2 cases did I think their was merit

I can see why non govt providers have to overkill every little test to protect themselves which leads to more indiscriminate testing which leads to more findings that are vague and warrant another batch of procedures or specialists. meanwhile your not covered and you get the bill driving grandpa and grandma into their savings lucky if they can pay for something they have no idea what but because Dr. God told them to do it they do.

Med Mal reform has had zero effect on health care costs in every jurisdiction in which it has been enacted. NC made their already harsh med mal laws even more stringent. They're some of the most defense-minded--if not the most defense-minded--in the nation. Yet, costs still skyrocket here. Liability carriers have pooled their money together and have wisely marketed their positions, and fools have bought that shit hook, line and sinker.

You need these three things and all three, not one or two of the three:

Raise Medicare age to 72
Medical malpractice reform
Different levels of care - poor, medium, rich and priced accordingly.

I will hand it to Rubio. He was the only candidate to have the guts to mention raising the retirement age for SS and medicare.
