So our neighborhood busy body decided to place small American flags at the end of each driveway in my neighborhood for 9/11. She's a Realtor (suprised she didn't staple her business card to them). Now slowly people are taking them out and today I went down and pulled mine to move to the flowerbed by the pole light. Looked at the sticker on the flag stick and the fucking thing was made in China. Americans aren't even making American Flags anymore.

Looks like the GOP is getting nervous.

They know Romneycare isn't going to fly so the hand picked candidate Perry steps in and then promptly blows up in 3 weeks.

Only the GOP would think giving America a former democrat that supported Al Gore would work.

To make matters worse, the crowds that attend the debates cheer for people dying without health care, boo gay marines in Afghanistan and applaud the idea of a man dying by lethal injection even if evidence changes over the course of his incarceration.

Now I'm hearing the GOP is making late night runs to Chris Christie's house bringing him suitcases of money and a taco bell 12 pack. I initially jumped on his bandwagon, and I still like him better than Romney or Perry, however the guy will get shredded once the scrutiny steps up and he strikes me as someone who likes to control his public image. He is moderate enough to appeal to voters but he has some stances that will be just as much of a concern to the hard core GOP as Perry's immigration or Romney's mandatory health care.

Ron Paul is technically in 3rd place. If he could go a week without answering Federal Reserve to whatever question he is asked, he might stop losing as many voters as he gains. He won't though, that is part of his appeal as well as his downfall.

well, Obama will win again and corporate America will just order more layoffs to show its displeasure. either way, we'll all be dead 6 weeks after the election.

I know you guys don't care but this is just maddening to me.

Its been going on for 5 years now, but when John Stewart picks up on it, then it I don't sound paranoid talking about it

Yeah, I remember when that aired. Funny enough, after Stewart mocked the media for it, within two days Today, the CBS Morning Show and CNN all covered some form of "Ron Paul is being ignored by the media" segment. Ironic.

Christie is too fat, too Jersey and will call idiots idiots to their face. That just doesn't play well in national politics. He'd be a much better body man for a telegenic GOP candidate.

as a serious political candidate, if you don't do stuff like this, you don't get elected.

yea, as much as I like the idea of Christie forcing his fiscal approach at the federal level, he'd literally get into shouting matches on the capital steps.

I watched Jon Stewart interview Ron Paul on his show last night. I thought he treated Ron Paul with a great deal of respect, something he doesn't get much of from other media talking heads.

yeah, I saw that 6 weeks ago. It's clearly true that he's being ignored. Fox is trying to choose a candidate, CNN is trying to catch up and MSNBC just doesn't care about any of the Republicans.

Except for Ron Paul, every one of the Republican candidates will give Israel carte blanche to do whatever they want to do at the expense of the U.S in the world

Chris Wallace is the worst. But honestly there is a blueprint on marginalizing Ron Paul. The guy won't change his stance on anything, he won't duck any question and he tells you his answer isn't what you want to hear - so all you have to do is throw in some hyperbole or extreme example and Ron Paul will face it head on - heroin, health insurance, anchor babies, prostitution - whatever. Once a parent or christian hears Ron Paul say that true freedom means not regulating heroin, they immediately shut down any thoughts of him as a presidential candidate.

I love that about him but its not the way to get elected.

Some guy from J Street was on the Daily Show or Colbert last week and the host mentioned that Obama hasn't been to Israel since he was elected. (But he did go whilst campaigning.)
