So if you've been around other message boards in the last 2 days, there's a ton of rumors that Yahoo's next big scandal story is going to involve an SEC West team and be a "10" on the richter scale. And supposedly it involves neither Arkansas nor Ole Miss. There's a 50+ page thread on Tiger Droppings about this.

and the thread started yesterday...

I'm willing to bet that it's LSU given the connections to Lyles.

Tigerdroppings is a joke. "Mad Magazine" and their ace investigative reporter Alfred E. Newman have more credibility.

Here are my odds on the alleged Yahoo story:

That there is no such story: 50%
That LSU gets fried: 15%
The Alabama gets fried: 15%
That Auburn gets fried: 15%
None of the above: 5%

Very small chance there's no story at all. The author of the USC and Oregon investigative pieces, Charles Robinson, has stated himself that he would have a major story, a "10", ready around August. It's speculative that it's an SEC team but that's the big rumor this week. Robinson's been pretty reliable so far though as he hinted months ago about the Oregon story he was working on (describing it as a 6 to an 8)

So AA or I might jump off a cliff in August.

I'm not sure which would be worse - us losing our NC or Bama getting the death penalty.

I'll agree with that...where ya start V where ya finish...

But it's been a long time since Alabama enjoyed this kind of success and had the talent level we enjoy now, at a minimum the Stallings era.

I'm a bourbon on the rocks with a splash of water type of guy, but I'm sure he would find that bit of water to be too pansy-ass for his tastes.

At least we would both like Shiner Bock.
