Yeah, that's what I thought. Maybe it's not so bad from the inside, although it certainly brings physical complications since he's confined to a wheelchair and can't eat solid food.

I don't know - living in a state of confusion trying to reconcile why you think its 1945 and everyone around you is a stranger.

I've had cancer. It's a bitch. I'd take it over dementia, though. The brain is the most important organ you have. Gimme my mind and let me do my best to have the cancer cut out surgically -or at least beaten back for awhile with drugs or rad.

Rupp Arena Face Cam Found a few people I know. One must be careful who you take to a public function these days. A damaging pic could easily wind up on the internet..... and as Ricky Ricardo said "you got a whole lotta 'splainin to do"

One could make an argument that freshman Derrick Rose was a leader on the '08 Memphis team that started 26-0, finished 38-2, and would have won a national title if they had a coach worth a shit...

Dean article was a great read, my Uncle who is just about 70 as had a from for about ten years, when does have moments of clarity he gets frustrated very easily but it way harder on my aunt. My Uncle was a very good lawyer and was about to retire and now and she was nurse practitioner and just basically wasted her 60's away taking care of him. She was the ultimate planner and had their retirement planned a lot different it the whole ideal as devastated her.

That would be just about any college arena...or pro...or high school for that matter. That's all people do these days. Was driving down Rose Street to the UK Hospital back last fall and class had just let out. About 50 people were walking by my vehicle and I'd be will to guess that at least 85% of them were checking their messages or texting. Almost no one was looking up to see what was happening around them.

I know. It was surprising that more people in that Rupp clip weren't doing it but then again, technology reaches the hillfolk slower than the rest of the population...

They would have won if Rose could shoot (and hit) a FT.

He shot 71% that season, which led the team...but they didn't care about FT's...

I have to admit, I'm more than a little frustrated that Cal will not play Willis, Lee and Hawkins.

Mostly because I believe him not playing them has little to do with their on court or practice performance and everything to do with him being able to recruit the next big thing next year.

He won't bench Young or the Harrisons because if he does, it makes selling the program to recruits next year that much harder - so basically he's given up on the season, he put his best team out there and they failed, and now he has to deal with uninspired kids who thought they were one and done's coming back next year . Except Cal doesn't change his colors - He's already gone out and got their replacements, so I'm afraid the Harrison's and Young will be relegated to bench time as Cal honors his promises (yea, they say he doesn't promise playing time but....) to the future recruits. The Harrison's and Young will have to prove their place by forcing Cal's hand that the new guys aren't as good as the old guys (what a novel concept) - meanwhile, Lee and Willis see their playing careers turn to shit because Cal won't go beyond a 7 man rotation.

As first I defended Cal's position on this but damn - no one can tell me that our players on the bench are worse then Young right now - he can't pass, he can't defend and worst, he can't shoot , which is what he was brought in here to do. Willis might no be able to do the first two but he can damn well hit a 3 pointer which is what this team needs to get those guys from hanging on Randle.

Julius Randle has a right to be the maddest person in the NCAA - an NBA draft lock and top 3 candidate to go first in the draft has turned into a freefall - not because of him but because he has a backcourt that has no idea how to play organized ball. Passing is a last resort - and that isn't hyperbole, for this backcourt. They simply do not know how to play team ball.

Randle has had his own hand in his demise but this is more about having to deal with triple teams and having to fight for rebounds.

This year is a complete mess, and as much as I love Cal as our coach, he won't get another year like this one. Up until now the fans liked his bullshit because behind it was the promise of delivering a competing team. You don't live up to the delivery part and the bullshit grows thin on you real quick. He won't be fired but the fans will make it so miserable for him he'll look at his bank account and say fuck this, I'm having hip surgery and taking a year off.

Heel Nation: please put another knot on the Evil Empire today. Get those overrated MoFos out of my bracketology orbit, and make K whine about feeling light-headed.

Scroo Dook, GO HEELS !

Ecat: UK will definitely talk to Pastner, as well they should.

At the risk of opening myself to jokes and snide remarks, given my mother's family history, there is a big chance that I will have dementia if I live into old age. Everyone but two in her mother's family (eleven children) who lived past mid-life suffered some form of dementia.
