When asked what he would tell his 18-month-old son, Jordan, about the scandal when he's old enough to understand, Weiner said, "First of all, the kid's going to grow up in Gracie Mansion. So I'm going to say, 'Kid, don't complain.'"

Dr. Strangelove wrote:This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the land; and the judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the constitution or laws of any state to the contrary notwithstanding.
Unless you're talking about DOMA.

I guess it takes liberal gullibility to equate what happened to New Orleans to what is happening to Detroit to argue federal government intervention.

The Federal Supreme Court threw out part of DOMA. That's how the system works. I'm not aware of states attempting to nullify the law. If they did, they were wrong. But as far as I know, it only applied to Federal benefits anyways.

So why shouldn't Missouri et al be allowed to work the system through the courts?

Uhhhh, they can. But they are a sure lock to lose. The law is clearly unconstitutional. A state can't pass a law that makes it a crime to follow a federal law.

Missouri's law puts the Missouri State legislature ABOVE the US Supreme Court as the final arbiter as to what is/is not constitutional.

Are you seriously under the impression that posting your drivel in an internet chatroom will help future generations? There's got to be a named psychological condition/disorder/disease that you fit to a T...

The only problem is, Hillary was a sure-thing 100% lock for the nomination six years ago, and then she wasn't. Maybe she will be the nominee, but I wouldn't fit her for a crown just yet. If she was as much a rock star among voters as she is among liberal intelligentsia, she'd be serving her second term right now.

Why are Bill and Hill pissed? It's not like he was getting blowjobs in the Oval Office by a subordinate. Seems minor to me by comparison.

Why are the Dem politicians always attracted to the chubbies?

Everything points to Hillary as the nominee this time around, that's for sure. She is meeting with Joe Biden today; looks like she's going to break it to him gently. Or break it off in him ....depending on how things go.

GOP's own post mortem after last November said they had to make inroads with women and latinos if they want to take back the WH in '16. Steve King and Rick Perry obviously prefer the ditch to an inroad.

Or pass laws that would disproportionately limit otherwise people who could vote from voting (such as my 84 year old father who doesn't have a driver's license anymore since he has become legally blind).

or use the IRS.

Does Fox News still flog away at the idea that the White House used the IRS to target opponents? Even though everyone connected to the IRS denies it - even Bush appointees - and there is no shred of evidence to support it. Even though it was learned that progressive/liberal groups got the same treatment? Even though that assclown Issa has dropped the IRS in favor of bringing down the USPS?

Those people are rotting yer brain, toe. You need to get outside and smell the flowers.

From a guy that swallows the following:

7.5%+ unemployment is normal, no need for 60 Minutes/20/20/Today Show/NYT to explore.

$3.50/gal gas is normal, has no effect on small business, the poor, minorities, or wimmen.

Gov't insurance/Obammercare will reduce the deficit, even though no one understands it, but even dems say it's a "trainwreck"

Dead/abandoned Americans in Benghazi is no big deal.....lying repeatedly about it, even less.

Part time jobs, while scarce, are the linchpin to a new roaring economy.

......that's funny.
