Some friends of mine are in Hawaii this week. They are posting pictures of their Luau and it occurred to me that Hawaiian's must hate Luau.

Its like that Simpsons episode where they go to the theme hotel where its New Years Eve everyday and the band members are playing Auld Lang Syne and one leans over and says 'I wish I would die"

Every damn day you have to roast a pig and eat pineapple. Even I would get tired of that after about 6 years.

#3: Hotel 1000, Seattle
Don't be fooled by the design-intensive vibe of this downtown Seattle hotel. Behind the chic décor and furnishings it's a fully networked technolodge.
Highlights include a silent infrared doorbell with sensors that detect body heat (so housekeeping knows when not to interrupt), smart climate control settings, a digital do-not-disturb button and a 40-inch LCD HDTV that doubles as a digital art gallery, displaying works that you can personally select.
There's video-on-demand, surround sound, satellite radio, high-speed Wi-Fi (included with room) and a slew of media hubs for every gadget imaginable.
What's more, innovative plumbing enables the bathtub to fill from the ceiling, an intelligent mini-bar notifies the front desk when it needs stocking, Cisco video phones float around the hotel and a virtual reality Golf Club is swing-ready with more than 50 courses from around the world.
1000 First Ave., Seattle; rooms from $219 per night; 206-357-1000; www.hotel1000seattle.com

Český Šternberk, Czech Republic. Šternberk castle (literally meaning "Starmountain") was originally built in 1241 and was later reinforced to better deal with the gunpowder age. Ruined and then rebuilt, the castle is still privately owned.

yeah they fucked us over when Vanessa and I went to London a few years back. They instituted new rules so it took 7 months to get a passport or you could pay extra and get one in two weeks. WE were six months out so we opted to wait. Then three weeks out they changed the rules back and turnaround was four weeks at the standard rate. fucking government.

That's odd. I always figured the government would be totally happy with you leaving.

If you're going to spend the money on traveling overseas, why bitch about $100? That is a lunch over in Paris.
