So did Bama oversign or does somebody backcount to last year?
They are at 26 right?

I assume one is a grayshirt, partial qualifier, or some such.
Saban culled the herd before he even signed them. Darius Philon and Justin Taylor didn't even get the chance for a medical hardship.

I don't understand the new rules very well.
You can still backcount, so you can still oversign as long as there is room from the previous class.
However lets say that last class was full at 25, so you can't backcount.
What they keep saying on the radio is if you have one kid extra send in a signed LOI (26 total that cannot count any to previous year) then just the very act of them sending in a signed LOI breaks the rule and you lose three scholarships the next year. Doesn't matter if he then is asked to grayshirt because he already signed the LOI.
They could all be full of shit, but that is the way they are talking about it on VQ and radio.
Said a school can't just send LOI's to 30 kids anymore because if you did go over you would be screwed.

We had at least one back count in with the early entrants?
I don't know the rule very well either. Rest assured the REC has the right boosters in place, though.

What is this NCAA tourney thing we've been invited to? A 9 seed? Anything to do with a golf shot? 'Cause if it's Bama and it ain't football, it MUST be women's gymnastics.

The Saban is not bound by scholarship limits He is above such petty concerns.
