NPR just did a detailed segment on what this guy was being indicted on this morning. I was listening to it on the way to work.

McClendon was killed in a single-car accident Wednesday morning, according to the Oklahoma City Police Department. He was indicted on charges of rigging bids for oil leases on Tuesday.

I'm not sure they've said yet

I'd be surprised if its suicide because he had a pretty decent chance to win his case based on the story

I agree with the Ben Carson sentiments. Some people are too good to get involved in politics. To run for President you have to be a little dirty.

I saw some of that coverage in the trading room. They referenced that the authorities had recovered the black box. They have black boxes in cars?

As successful as these guys were in executing the Iraq War, Trump just may gain votes as a result of this.

those politicians are going to have to deal with the 35 to 40% of their voting base that are for Trump, are mad as hell and won't forget their elected official ignore the will of the people they elected to represent them

That voting base carries across all the demographics of their party as well.

If Cruz was smart he would have jumped on TV and called out Romney for being out of line.

You can't sell yourself as the anti-establishment candidate, and then sit quietly on the sidelines with the establishment doing whatever it is they're attempting to do

It was a great opportunity to win over some Trump supporters that may be listening to the chorus of detractors

but he's an ass hat and is being advised by clown shoes

As soon as last fall Ann Romney was happy about Trump being in the race...

And just an aside, I'm a sucker for those blonde high society, well preserved, older women. Definitely a "do", MS or no.

State to State comparison in states that have voted so far

Mitt Romney had 2.5 million people that had voted for him in 2012

In the same states, Trump has 3.3 million. 800 thousand more people

Trump is facing a larger field and more well funded field than Mitt Romney had to face

Romney is hoping to come out of the convention as the GOP candidate. IB must be giddy.

The opening of the debate last night summed up what the republican primary has become. Rubio had made some crack about Trump having small hands and then slyly (or I guess what he thought was being sly) said something like "and you know what that means!" So last night, Trump's first words were "Marco said something the other day about my small hands", then he held up his hands and said "Do these look like small hands to you? And then he implied that that meant I was small in other places. Let me assure you, there's no problem there."

So basically the republican primary has become about one candidate saying other one has a small dick and then the other one assuring everybody that he has a big dick. That is the state of republican politics today. Hell, maybe that's been the state of politics since the beginning of time...
