I like Cabelas a bit better - but I'm not into fishing so BPS obviously has the edge there

The BPS here has an archery range, guns, ammo, tons of hiking stuff and a cool aquarium. Also, peanut butter fudge.

I have started to buy a box of ammo every time I go somewhere that sells it. That way, I can acquire a decent amount over time without breaking the bank.

I am going to get a new scope placed on a Remington 700 ADL .30-06 I have in the safe. Dad got it as part of a trade for some other guns one time. Does anyone have any suggestions on what glass I can put on there for a fair price? I am not looking to spend an arm and a leg, especially when you consider that the gun isn't worth that much.

a good low mid range scope is Burris. I'd also recommend Pentax. The next step is Nikon - all of those are in the $70 - $129 range for a 3-9 40mm which is pretty standard. The Pentax and Nikon have Japanese glass which is second only to the high end German stuff. Not sure about Burris.

As long as I don't go to the range, I'm ok for ammo

Speaking of Bass Pro...remember the Pyramid, where the Tigers used to play their home games (The Tomb of Doom)?

Guess what it's being converted into?
