"Pittsburgh’s last chance for a quality regular season win slips through its fingers"

At this point, I'm just glad that beating Carolina would be considered a quality win...

Cal doesn't have as much confidence but I believe in Rupp magic.

Like I said eCat, you were dreaming bud... :D Five freshmen can't beat 4 seasoned seniors.. and Donovan is a much better bench coach than Calipari.

BTW, a few weeks ago, I predicted Florida would win it all. I still stand by that statement.

Not to beat a dead horse but that UNC-Duke game had no business being played. Forget the safety of the Duke players getting there and back because they would have a police and snow plow escort but what about all the wage-earning (or worse) working stiffs at the Dean Dome who would have to get there and back, well after the game ended? I get sick of hearing fans crying about why the game wasn't played when the reason was obvious and the proletariat in me stands for the working man.

That having been said, it's foolish to think that Duke wasn't dragging its feet over leaving for the game. There's no way K wanted to play in an arena full of idiot students screaming their heads off. I don't blame him one bit for not trying to get there but I keep hearing media people defend the decision along the lines of "Do you think Duke really didn't want to play Carolina?" Hell no, not under those circumstances. who would?

Secondly, while it was good to see Zona go down on the Sun Devils Friday night, I wish the refs would have done the right thing and issued a technical foul against ASU for celebrating on the court with time remaining and causing a delay. It might have gone a long way in tempering these ridiculous court rushes that create unsafe conditions for all concerned.

Finally, all these miracle wins by Syracuse make me think the Orange might have used up their supply when they really need it in March. There's no way I'm picking them to win the tournament now.

Yes we will.

I will (probably) have Florida in my final 4. That's about it. They are exceptional this year. But the SEC sucks this year. Florida can not beat Syracuse, Wichita State, Arizona, San Diego State, Gonzaga, or Michigan State.

I've gone down the path of believing an SEC team will kick ass in the tourney because they did well in the SEC or beat UK.

And I've been burned every time.

I will say this, if Donovan does win the national championship this year, he has to be rated as one of the best coaches ever - and the guy is hardly ever mentioned in the same circles as K, Williams , etc

For Randle being a double double machine, he has the worst handle of any prominent big man I can remember.

Cal should never let him put the ball down below his chest.

Damn, when did you become Grandpa McGillicutty? You smoked crack everyday for 3 years and now you're mewling about unsafe conditions? You need to ask your wife (politely, of course) for your balls back...

My balls hang lower every day. I hate court rushing. it's an insipid waste of time and irrelevant use of energy. half of those dorks pogo-sticking up and down on the floor were holding up camera phones at ASU. that one scene summarized nearly everything I hate about the world. nearly because your face wasn't in it.
