This detection of gravitational waves is pretty amazing. Einstein was quite smart. There are a lot of mind blowing facts associated with this but I particularly enjoyed this one - the energy produced by the merging of the two black holes that produced the waves was equivalent to the amount of energy produced by the sun in 15 trillion years. That's a lot.
