You're being far too modest about what you'd hit and what you wouldn't...

Trump is just a big distraction while Cruz and his people get their shit together, bury any skeletons, and try to soften the blow on being an actual Repub. Even if Trump wins Iowa, there will be something to happen and Trump will bow out and advise everyone to support Cruz now that he is out blah blah blah.

Good tactic by the party if that is what they are doing. Loud distraction pay attention over here and let Cruz quietly and slowly do what he needs to do.

However if Trump is REAL and is really gunning to be President. He has my vote over Hillary. No way that lying cunt bag should be anywhere near Washington.

I'm not a fan she is a Goldman Sach's executive and Cruz is mr. big banks are evil

I think its all a bunch of bullshit - plus Cruz greases his hair down with product half the time and when he does he looks like a used car salesman that has a computer full of child porn at home.

That said, I'd vote for him over Rubio or Bush

Here's one thing I don't get - Bernie Sanders was out marching with the NAACP back in the 80's - was even arrested at one point for protesting, has stood up for womens rights and just about every other group that wants laws made for them - and yet all these groups are backing Hillary.

Aside from the fact he thinks he can grow money trees to pay for all this free shit he wants to give away - here is a man that is has been on point his entire political career, has practiced what he preached and has little or no baggage, and we have Hillary who has been surrounded by shady , unethical and immoral controversy for most of life in politics - and only college kids and hipsters wants Sanders to be president.

I don't get it - by any standard he should be the poster child of democratic values, not a corrupt moderate warhawk like Hillary.

honestly I would like to see Cruz and Sanders debate - Cruz proposes that he is uber conservative (again, highly questionable commitment to that position and has failed to come thru on it multiple times - he supported TPP, will not vote to audit the fed, would not fight Paul Ryan on the budget, etc) and Bernie wants us to be some model of modern Nordic Socialism.

It would be a great debate

not that it matters in the big picture but Trump is in this to win it - case in point - getting political opportunist Sarah Palin to back him before the Iowa primary.

That is a hit to Cruz - (let me caveat this saying I think Palin is a fucking moron - she has good teeth, nice tits, doesn't believe in using rubbers and apparently has some good pussy - but that is the end of her contribution to society - I stole that line) as Palin played a role in swinging the votes for him in his runoff in Texas.

Now 1 of 2 things happened - Palins handlers explained to her using sock puppets and alphabet blocks that the race was over and Trump was going to be the nominee, and if she was smart, the long game here is to back him now and profit from the windfall of getting to play kingmaker in the GOP (lord knows Karl Rove ain't gonna be it) or Trump cut a backroom deal with her to be something like Secretary of Energy, National Parks director with a wolf shooting helicoptor or Planned Parenthood liaison - some bullshit that keeps her in the political game so she doesn't have to keep giving handjobs to stay on Fox News.

people that don't understand the Trump phenomenon are still trying to box him in as a conservative

Nationalism is driving the Trump campaign which is why people can point out he's not a conservative, he's liberal on this or lying on that and they just shrug their shoulders because there are many, many people who believe that after years of begging Republicans to stop immigration, to stop the globalization of the United States and to protect the middle class - in turn they've just been completely sold a bill of goods

so people are incredulous at the idea that Trump can get on TV and tell a complete lie, distort the truth, be completely insincere about religion or gun control or whatever else and it not phase his supporters don't get it. They aren't voting for him because of his ideology. The ideology of the GOP is meaningless now because the party won't deliver on it.

Trump is a businessman. His approach is simple - His entire campaign is a agreement,….a "deal". That's how he works and that's why he's been so successful.
He wants to make a deal with the people of America. "Elect me and this is how I'll conduct the business of America". To Trump, sticking to his side of the bargain is just good business. There is no ideology. And when he starts acting like a horseshit politician, people don't care because they know the basic tenet of his deal.

That's not to say he won't become president and totally ruin this country, take on an approach that everything is negotiable and never fully come thru on any of his promises - but then to his voters, that would be a zero sum game - because that's what they'd get with any other GOP candidate at this point.

It's arrogance like this that only fuels the Trump candidacy...

more concerning to them should be that they are spelling out exactly what Trump needs to do to mobilize in the upcoming primaries to stay on top of the game.

I hate trump as a person

trump[ as a president has the one appealing quality I think his business sense rebuilding the infrastructure--fixing social security/and hopefully changing the fact that 50% of the work force supports the other 50%. By redistributing the wealth of the country twords the working class citizens maybe we get a strong middle class again . I don't think any other candidate could do that.

all I want from a Trump presidency is a state of the union address to congress on national television where calls every congressman who lied to him a son of a bitch.

The reason why Sanders doesn't have as much support as you would expect is because most people don't think he can win. Unlike in the GOP, the DEMs haven't (by and large) gotten to a point where they've stopped caring about national electability. Some foolish souls are pipe dreaming that Hillary wins the nod and has Bernie in her cabinet. That'll never happen. She'll banish him quicker than a black dude on the Bachelorette after the primaries end.

I've never been no Republican but I honestly think Hilary would be as bad as most of the GOP candidates, save Trump. If he is elected, we have signaled forth the Apocalypse.

The guy who I like the most is Bernie Sanders but I'm not sold on him. Frankly, I think that unless we completely overhaul our democratic system, we are headed for worse than the Apocalypse. At least in that, we'll all die at the same time instead of watching our society fall apart piece by piece.
