Judging from most things you say in here, I'd say that's a unique reaction...

Doesn't the old man owe like a million on grazing fees for letting his cattle munch on our grass?

ahhh...they old wealthy bastards are upset they can't buy an election....
Charles Koch is “disappointed” with the line-up of Republican candidates in the 2016 cycle, and is surprised by the lack of influence he and his brother have wielded so far.
In an interview with the Financial Times, the billionaire businessman and philanthropist, said he’ll eventually support a candidate who he agrees with on some things with, but that it’s hard to get excited. He said a list presented to all the candidates about the Kochs' political arm's priorities “doesn’t seem to faze them much. You’d think we could have more influence.”
“It is hard for me to get a high level of enthusiasm because the things I’m passionate about and I think this country urgently needs aren’t being addressed,” he said.
Koch also bashed the candidates currently leading the Republican field — Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and businessman Donald Trump. Koch said that if Trump was successful with his proposal to require all Muslims entering the U.S. to register with the government, then “well, then you destroy our free society.”
“Who is it that said, ‘If you want to defend your liberty, the first thing you’ve got to do is defend the liberty of people you like the least’?” he continued.
Koch then went on to attack Cruz’s proposal to carpet-bomb ISIL. “I’ve studied revolutionaries a lot,” he said. “Mao said that the people are the sea in which the revolutionary swims. Not that we don’t need to defend ourselves and have better intelligence and all that, but how do we create an unfriendly sea for the terrorists in the Muslim communities? We haven’t done a good job of that.”
Koch said that there are 1.6 billion Muslims nationwide and asked, what “are we going to do: go bomb each one of them?”

Another long read, but excellent, frustrating, scary and eye-opening...

For me the most impactful was about realizing the scope of this. It's not just Ohio and West Virginia. I just think of the non-stick pans I have with scratches on it and what I have been ingesting there, not to mention our food and water.

oh yea - without reading we tossed all our non stick stuff years ago. I bought her a nice set of stainless steel cookware but we're also into cast iron now.
Just a few weeks ago she bought a set of ceramic pots with glass lids and we use them to cook chicken, ground pork, beef, etc - if that the first step to a casserole or whatever.
just read it - didn't realize all this started in the Cincinnati area ( at least the office)

Crowd-sourcing: Name of the new party we’ll have to start if Trump wins the GOP nomination? Suggestions welcome at
editor@weeklystandard.com
— Bill Kristol (@BillKristol) December 20, 2015
Kristol isn’t alone. As I wrote at Daily Wire today, Politico’s Jeff Greenfield says, “If the operatives I talked with are right, Trump running as a Republican could well face a third-party run – from the Republicans themselves.” That follows last Thursday’s Politico column from former New Jersey governor Christine Todd Whitman, who compared Trump to Hitler and called him “evil,” and last Wednesday’s Politico column reporting that Jeb Bush’s aides “began looking into the possibility of making a clear break with Trump – potentially with the candidate stating that, if Trump were the nominee, Bush would not support him.”
so they meet with Trump in private, asking him to agree to not run 3rd party - clearly with the belief that they would take him down in the process and set Jeb! up for the nomination - and now that its not happening, they are shitting themselves and are considering doing what they begged Trump not to - because it would guanratee Hillary in the White House.
And this is why the GOP should be disbanded and to never form again.

I keep saying that if Trump wins the whole thing, the Republican party will have to file for a name change.

its the only reason I'm supporting Trump (although I'd probably vote for Cruz - but he's a whole other set of hypocrisy )

The only good thing I can say about Cruz is that his wife is kinda hot, for some reason. I mean, I don't know why, but there is something there. She looks a lot like that SNL chick from years ago (Anna Gastmeyer, I think is her name) and I was not a fan...so I don't know why I say Ted's wife can get it.
Maybe it's my distaste with Cruz that makes me want to do her?

She does have that smarmy look like Ana Gasteyer but I don't share your attraction, other than at the age of 50, I would probably hit just about anything that looks halfway decent and doesn't smell.
