There are lots of Athletic Directors, conference directors, and school presidents burning up the phone lines and emails and working lots of hours just now...making sure they don't lose access to the big bucks!!!

I think Missouri or WVU will be in the SEC.

After Missouri and two other teams they aren't going to get?

I can't decide if this guy is fantastic troll or an epic retard.

Whats the terms? I get Mizzou/WVU and you get the field?

The Rams 1st half offense looks like the Texans did at times last year: two good drives that end in FGs (or nothing) and then all kinds of ridiculous breakdowns where they don't even pick up first downs. Now that I think about it, the Texans kind of resembled themselves at times yesterday, except now they have a pulse on defense and can hold a lead for a change.

With the demise of the Big East and the sweetheart deal ND had there, the attached may happen. There is more at stake than football. Basketball, womens sports, and the mens olympic sports will be without a home. I can't see ND being totally independent. The ACC may be a good fit.

I'd think East Carolina ends up in some sort of salvaged Big East, no?

ND isn't going anywhere as long as NBC is going to overpay for the rights to Irish football. And if they are going to go somewhere, would they rather be in a conference where virtually every school has stellar academics (Big 10, or B1G as some are calling it) or would they rather be in a conference that sports, among others, Miami, Florida State, and Clemson?

Tough week for survival pools as there seem to be no iron-clad lock games out there. I'm leaning towards San Diego over the Chiefs, but that's just the kind of game at home a Norv Turner-Philip Rivers team loses. Other than that, what do you take? Eagles over Giants?

the chiefs have given up like 89 points so far haven't they?

Outscored 89-10. But it's the Chargers, and they choke. Still, that seems about as much a lock as any other contest on the calendar.

yea, I'd say that is a lock

also, damn - Cam Newton right out of the gate has two 400+ yard games ( in losing efforts I might add).

Holy shit
