The ACC has a real opportunity to make more tv money by broadcasting on Friday night. Just playing Saturdays means the ACC plays a very distant 3rd fiddle to the SEC and the B1G on that 9AM and 10AM EST broadcasting slot. The ACC schools are smaller, less alumni, less fans, less people in front of TVs. So if the commissioner wants to crank as much tv money from their contract as humanly possible, they are pretty much forced to play Friday nights.

No. But YOU might watch. You wouldn't be watching if BC and FSU are playing the same time Ohio State is playing. Which is the reason why they are playing on Friday night.

The flip side of that is the short week. Did you see how sloppy both Clemson and Louisville looked yesterday? A lot of that was the short week...expect to see that tonight as well. It doesn't seem like an extra day would make that much difference but it does, especially this early in the season. Exposure is fine but if you're exposing a sloppy product, it's not good advertising.

Okay. I took a look at your schedule and... I don't see a loss on it. Kevinole, I think you guys run the table. I'm convinced (after tonight) that BC has the #1 defense in all of college football. You guys wont face another team with a better defense... all season. And I'm also convinced BC finishes... 7-5, again.

You guys go 12-0. I hope you do. It makes the ACC look really strong. Sorry about dinging up Cook so bad. And I hope Wade is not out for the season or we are going to see a whole lot more.... of my avatar at QB.

Yes, every game on our schedule is winnable, but there are about 6 remaining loseable games. So the law of averages should tell you we'll lose 2 or 3 of them, especially after we burned all our lucky breaks last year. If things break well, we might get into the ACCCG and might even win it, but we won't be a playoff team.

BC will be about the 3rd best defense we will face. They played well, but Fisher went ultra conservative when he realized BC wasn't going to score. I do agree that BC is a 7-5'ish team though. This game was about what I thought it was, except that our defense played much better than I thought they would. Addazio should have done more trick plays, they have worked well against us the last couple of years. He thought they could win straight-up but your QB is awful and you lost the LOS (not as badly as we did on offense but still got whipped).

Epic horseshit. Name the two teams that FSU faces (this year) with better defenses? Scratch that, name any two teams in all of college football with a better defense than BC? BC will not only remain #1 in basically every single category defensively after this game, they are going to remain #1 in every defensive category until mid October.

You guys have an excellent team. Your tail back might be the best tailback in the country, and he looked completely lost out there given BC's defense. Golson played out of his mind WELL last night, particularly avoiding that safety. BC gets that safety, BC maybe beats you last night.

Darius Wade broke his ankle and is out for the season. So it is either the true frosh at QB who doesn't know any of the plays OR Addazio starts Doug Heisman Flutie's nephew at QB. But yes, on the strength of defense alone, 7 wins.

Team B gave up seven points.

IB announces that Team B is not only the best defense on the field that night, but the best defense in the entire country.

Team A's defense played against (maybe) the 100th best offense in college football, the worst offense they have faced all year.

Team B's defense played against (probably) the 20th best offense in college football with the number one tailback in college football.

Team B's defense (with all 217 yards they gave up last night, combined with the other 102 they gave up the previous two games) are probably still the #1 defense in all of college football, and they probably were that way before kickoff this morning for other top defenses.

The fact that I have to explain this basic math shit to you, is a giant insult to the education given to you at UVa.

And I am not making this shit up....

So what? BC's defense held the #9 team in the country to 7 points and 217 yards and held the #1 tailback in the country to... nothing. Is FSU's offense Deaf Dumb and Blind the way BC"s offense was?

BC's defense has given up 10 points and 319 yards in 3 games. How many points and yards has Florida State's defense given up in 3 games? You are NOT looking at the data right, shame on you Rickart.

They played BC. BC's offense is deplorable. FSU's offense is excellent. Both offenses got about the same number of yards Friday night. You do the math.

Check the stats at ESPN.com if you don't believe this but BC's defense (after week 3) is still numero uno. Get back to me in 2 or 3 weeks, if they still aren't number one in the country and then I'll say that maybe they weren't always that good. But they will be and you WON'T get back to be because of your pride.
