Obviously if this was just about UNC, Bloomberg nor anyone else (except State fans) would even be paying attention. Bloomberg admits as much in the first paragraph:
"This is a story about the moral foundation of a multibillion-dollar business: Division 1 of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. That’s why we’re devoting time and energy to it at Bloomberg Businessweek."
I'd be saying that if I was a UNC fan too

its only halfway thru the A&M game but I can tell a difference in the team the last 2 games. The Harrisons are playing smarter and basic fundamentals along with execution are better. Offense is still scattershot but that is, to be honest, because these kids aren't as good as their hype coming in -but they are learning to play together so that will come along. The down side is that Willie Cauley Stein has disappeared lately. If he gets his head back into the game we can do some damage.
At this point we're not a final four team but these last two games are the first time all season (other than the first couple of games) that I think we have the ability to be.
After all that, watch A&M beat us in the second half.

#10 on A&M. I think his name is McDonald - he looks like a 5th grader out there player with all those tall kids. I wonder if he is 6 foot.

It is amazing how different UNC and UK are when compared to where they were six weeks ago.

If I was a UNC fan, I honestly wouldn't feel that bad about the team - sure I'd be pissed about the losses but its a mental issue with this team - and I suspect its because of all the turmoil going on off the court. I've seen that happen with 3 or 4 teams at UK over the years. UNC has some home games coming up - take them and beat Duke and they've punched their ticket.

On February 12, Duke will play at UNC, but the marquee game in the ACC that night will be Pitt-Syracuse.

so his schtick is the ride the handrail, but not in a quick fashion but a slowy, wedgie-forming manner? does anyone want to put their hands on the handrail after he's left a skid mark on it?

in the course of 2 weeks we've gone from a 4 seed to a 2 seed with Lunardi, some of it attributed to our improved play and mostly because everyone else is losing more.

I want to know how he keeps getting tickets.
On another note, former player Preston LeMaster (a walk on) has lost his job as the coach of East Ridge a couple of years ago and has apparently fallen so far that he's addicted to pain pills and is selling fake sets of tickets to UK games to scam people out of money.
This is something players think to do as we've had like 4 players busted over this in the past 6 or 7 years. Not sure why they think they can get away with it.
