Congrats DDAL, the best team won. You guys dominated, it was much worse than the score indicated.

UGA might be better right now, but they ain't any good yet. Luckily, they play Candy, a demicated Turd sqaud after the bye, hapless Kentucky, powderpuff New Mexico State, shaky Auburn and little brother who can be good or shitty but will still lose.

UGA could be 8-4 as I expect or 10-2. There is just no way to know because they are so inconsistent and mistake riddled.

keep getting those refs to call your games and 10-2 is a given

We definitely lost the game.

We may have also lost Bray and Poole.

Other than that, no big deal.

So I think the official that was not calling the PI's on UGA but throwing late out of position flags to call us for PI to extend drives was none other that Al Matthews.

The noncatch official.

He has a history of controversial calls against UT, he's the official that played for Vandy who mortally wants to destroy TN because he feels he was interfered with a game winning TD pass that cost Vandy the game in 81.

Why do they even let him in Neyland Stadium? The noncatch should be enough to barr him from ever calling another game involving UT again. Heck he should have lost his job over that one (I do not for a second think it was a "bad" or "missed" call, it was intentional corruption) much less being allowed to ever set foot on a field that UT plays on.

Now he didn't have anything to do with us losing this particular game, I figgured we would lose anyway because Georgia is just the better team, but he will cost us games again as he has in the past if he is continued to be allowed to call our games.

Any news on Bray? I'm hoping it's just a sprain or something. I was getting a bit shit faced there towards the end of the game, I'm not even sure I saw the injury. LOL

You got that damn straight. There were at least 4 passes downfield that should've been a TD. And one of them was caught with the result being the receiver pulled up with a bit of a ham string. If last night was an example of things to come, teams with decent QBs will toss it downfield and we'll be helpless to stop them.

Anyone got a link to stats where it shows our team speed from season to season? In particular, I would love to see the speed of this year's defense compared to last. One problem I'm seeing is they seem to be slow to get going. But once they get going, they are still slow as slugs. That play where GA [finally] caught the long pass: the receiver torched the player in our defense who was responsible for him. When GA's receiver caught the ball, he was pulling away from our defender on that run. If he hadn't came up with the ham string problem, that was a TD with no chance of us stopping him. I'm not seeing ANYONE on this team who has breakaway speed and can get down the field while outrunning anyone.

If you watched the game, then you shouldn't be surprised. The announcers mentioned the poor officiating several times.

I am a bit confused though, I had heard the SEC promised us Matthews would never officiate another UT game after the noncatch then there he was last night influencing the flow of the game with his decisions to call or not to call critical calls.

Maybe he wasn't barred from calling UT games again, but I thought that was one of the resolutions to the noncatch.

If he wasn't barred then he should be barred after last nights performance.

I didn't catch much of this but wanted to comment on the officiating: Looked good. That is all.
