Matlock was never held in contempt for that stunt.

I have asked officers to pick my client out of the audience. They couldn't do it. I have flirted around with the idea of doing it at trial.

Why do I still keep picturing DS arguing in court wearing a pink polo with the collar up, kackies, penny loafers and a belly that covers his belt?

I rock the penny loafers sans socks a time or two each week during the summer...

its kind of funny - normally what Trump said about McCain would be held in such high contempt, he'd be universally chastised and dismissed, and while the media might be playing it off like that - within conservative circles, John McCain is so despised that there is no shortage of people talking about how McCain doesn't deserve hero status.

There's actually alot of dirt on John McCain and it paints a pretty compelling picture about his time in captivity. Mostly his actions post Vietnam in regards to POWs lead to alot of speculation about his version of what happened during his stay in prison. I doubt Donald Trump knows any of this - if he did, he'd be screaming it from the rooftops right now, but Trump has inadvertently set off a firestorm about McCain heroism. Mostly people that grew up listening to the Andrew Sisters hail McCain as a living legend, while the generations below him have trouble seeing how a hero ends up being a venom filled douchebag.

A fellow partner of mine who is a hardcore Catholic Republican refused to vote for McCain in 2008. He worked at the SEC during the S&L crisis and saw MCCain's shenanigans first hand.

Goldwater hated him...hate may be a strong word, but he intensely disliked him and it bothered him that he was put in situations to talk favorably about him as a fellow Arizona Republican.

That's pretty much all I need to know.

Agreed. McCain is a prick but for Trump to rip apart a POW while he dodged the war is laughable. Trump is an idiot who is wasting our time.

on to more important news

married men around the nation are feverishly checking the internet......

Ashley Madison, which uses the advertising slogan "Life is short. Have an affair," said Monday it had been attacked and some user data was stolen.

So far, though, it isn't easy to find the exposed cheaters online. That could change soon if the hackers decide to publish the information on a public website.

Brian Krebs, the blogger who first reported the breach, said the hackers were threatening to release all Ashley Madison's customer records if the website isn't shut down.

The hackers called themselves the "Impact Team," and the potential release includes "profiles with all the customers' secret sexual fantasies and matching credit card transactions, real names and addresses, and employee documents and emails."

In a statement, Avid Life Media, the parent company, said: "At this time, we have been able to secure our sites, and close the unauthorized access points. We are working with law enforcement agencies, which are investigating this criminal act."

Well, basically the guy's only credentials is that he was a POW and he married a rich woman after dumping his severely injured wife. I guess that's what counts as a good political resume these days...

It's too early for anyone to really have any interest at all in the election. He's getting traction in the polls because he's the only one making any noise. There is nobody who would actually vote for him or say they'd vote for him when the election gets serious.
