Same thing happened at Sandy Hook. Kids were still killed tick. They needed a man there with a gun to shoot to kill.
Citing the individual heroism of female teachers responding in an emergency does not discredit my position. It only shows how you like to errect strawmen in an effort to reframe a debate you can't win.

1965 was a big year. An F2 tornado sheared off half our house in a suburb of Knoxville...my dad heard about it on his police radio, then snatched me up at after-school and we headed home not knowing what we'd find. We turned onto our street and the first thing we didn't see was the old Baptist church on the corner - it was gone. I'll never forget the look on my dad's face as long as I live. 5:00 pm, 4/15/65.
It turned out okay, though - dad had to coax mom out from under the bed, and I got to go live with my fun cousins for half a year. But I have a sense of what those people were feeling yesterday, trying to drive back into their neighborhoods.

"1965 was a big year."
Yep, the year I was born. Very important year for the psychic evolution of this planet. It was also the year the Beatles first took LSD...

Did everybody else read this in the voice of Quint telling the story of the USS Indianapolis like I did?

Sounds to me like that dude got it ass-backwards, which probably explains why you think it's "not debatable"...
As more and more people have no skin in the game what do they care about spending, debt, and taxes?
Pols reward them with more benefits paid for by others. At some point it doesn't become viable any more.

If the headline is true, how the hell did 7 kids drown in a school basement?
A water main break? Find it hard to believe that there was enough rain to flood a basement.
Problem around here is there just aren't many basements to seek shelter in.
