Hate to hear that. Here is to a quick recovery.

How many times did Muffburger call Herbstreit Herbie? I only caught the first half and it was in Spanish. (thankfully)

Looks like we've hired Doug Nussmeier as OC. Also taking back Lance athompson from Tennessee.

Won't coaching football force him to violate the Sabbath?

A couple of weeks ago I said:
You're up to 24 commits now, with at least three 5 stars about to commit. If I were one of the few 3 star commits to Alabama, I'd be looking around for a Plan B.
Looks like Saban's purge of the three stars from this class has begun:
Nick Saban to Atlanta RB: You can’t sign with Alabama until next year

What was your reaction? “I’m cool with it, as long as I get to Alabama and play. And, as long as I have more time to recover (Taylor has a serious knee injury) and get solid.”

Might have to hold off on the Nussmeier part. I'd seen a couple of rumors at Woolly over the weekend about Stanford's OC coming in the same capacity and here's the same thing from ESPN. ???? Saban will not hurry. He never has with his hires. Nick hasn't called me on this but I think either would be a good hire.
I'm surprised Thompson didn't burn bridges when he left for Tennessee. I just hope he can wash the orange off...some things just don't come clean.

I've heard it's Nussmeier. Signed and sealed.
Hmmmmm....

Prof I'd say Nick handled it very well. The young man is recovering from injury. Hasn't had the physical therapy visits he'd be afforded in college, and has been told the truth.
No one else came to offer after the injury. Alabama obviously didn't with draw the offer. You can come but you have to wait a year is a whole lot better than arriving on campus, checking into a dorm, hanging out for a couple of weeks and getting ready for class THEN being told you don't have a scholarship.

I'd been reading some links off Woolly and I expected the same, AA. I was coming over to post that link as I read your post.
If Nick thinks so, I'll agree. Sumbich is doing something right. Been a while since we've had two national titles in 3 seasons.
Did you know he's been at Alabama for 5 seasons now?

Thompson got out of Tusca cause of the divorce and a chance to coach with Monte I believe.
He was not shy about having some younger laides hanging around him quote often. The bastard.

We'll have to wait and see.

Justin Taylor decides maybe Nick's word isn't exactly good as gold and it might be time to look at another school. Guess he wised up and decided that a coach who reneged on one commitment can easily renege on another
