"If Obozo is consistent at anything it's his (immaturity) wont to lash out at anyone who dares disagree w/him, from congress to the supreme court to the press."
Like you never lash out at anyone who disagrees with you. Hell, you lash out even when nobody has said anything to you. It's basically all you ever do...

Even more ho-hum than black-on-black murder...
Coda Holdings Inc., parent of the electric-car maker backed by billionaire Philip Falcone, filed for bankruptcy and will seek to sell its assets to a group led by a Fortress Investment Group LLC (FIG) unit for $25 million.
The Los Angeles-based company, whose Coda Automotive unit also sought court protection, listed assets of as much as $50 million and debt of as much as $100 million today in the Chapter 11 filing in Wilmington, Delaware. The company said it intends to sell its assets within 45 days.

The closely held company’s Coda Automotive unit listed assets of as much as $50 million and liabilities of as much as $100 million in the Chapter 11 filing in Wilmington, Delaware, today.
Coda’s bankruptcy is at least the third by an electric vehicle-related company in just over a year. A123 Systems Inc. (AONEQ), a battery supplier to Fisker Automotive Inc., another California-based maker of electric cars, filed for bankruptcy in October. Ener1 Inc., also a maker of batteries for electric cars, entered bankruptcy in January 2012.

LOL What are the odds of a 50 million dollar car company going under?
Hostess Inc was a billion dollar company that filed Chapter 11 recently and all they made were Twinkies. It's not like they had to put a lot of R&D into the Twinkie.
but hey, the demise of the Twinkie made headlines...there ya go, toe, a freebie

America's Air is Getting Cleaner - and Less Costly: CNN 4/24/2013
http://money.cnn.com/2013/04/24/real_es ... index.html
The American Lung Association's annual "State of the Air" report -- based on EPA findings for 2009 through 2011--found that the three types of air pollution they track have all declined.
"We are happy to report that the state of our air is much cleaner today than when we started the report 14 years ago," said Harold Wimmer, the ALA's CEO.

Not good or bad, just indifferent.
Unless the lack of emmissions is what is causing me to freeze my ass off this spring, then, yes, I care.
We should not have gotten rid of those aerosol cans.

common sense says we cant continue to dump billions of tons of crap into the air indefinitely without consequences. We need to take reasonable steps to preserve our environment before it's too late for us. If you've seen pictures of the air pollution in Beijing lately I'm sure you dont want Charlotte to get to the same state.

...and we've been taking reasonable steps for some 40 years....forcing refineries to close...investing/wasting $$ foolishly in solar/wind...making the price of corn skyrocket....don't make the reasonable list.

corn should never have been in the energy equation. sugar cane and sawgrass(?) are much better options but the corn lobby was too strong.

Cleaner air is good, toe.
Scrubbers, hybrid cars, renewable energy, natural gas over coal... all good. To say otherwise, sadly, means you are a rightwing nutjob. Don't be a rwnj.
A true conservative is a preservative. It's your duty to preserve what God gave us...clean air, clean water, and a bounty of natural resources. Preserve, conserve, and pick up after yourself. Do it for God, your country, and your children's children.
Go Green; Stay Green
Give a hoot. Don't pollute.

Good lord....excellent dismissive term, rwnj. Try to bring bring common sense to a debate and it's the liberal/conservative way, assign a derisive name, rwnj...or nigger or jew to them so you seem smarter....the only people/things that are against clean air are those that you conjure up in your mind, they can only exist there.

You forgot carbon credits. They let people like John Edwards and Al Gore own multiple huge mansions, ride around in Chevy Suburban motorcades, fly around the world in private jets, and basically pump out more greenhouse gases than most third world countries. But all they have to do is create companies that grow trees, and - POOF! - they are absolved of all their environmental sins. Carbon credits are the sale of indulgences of the rich left.

Current selections are pretty thin, Sardis, but as more choices become available up the line I'll sure be tempted to give them a look.
As it is, I insure several hybrid drivers and I'm pleased to say that as a group they are first-rate people. Some have clearly sacrificed style for a noble purpose, and for that we should all be appreciative, right?

I loved the Dixie Chicks. They were/are incredibly skilled musicians.
Like most country music fans, I got mad at them when they dissed then-President Bush on the eve of the second Gulf War.
I hate it that they were spot on.
