I hope the BC fans throw their dont shoot hands up in the air when FSU comes out of the visitors locker room. (except IB, they can shoot him) Shamefull shit right there. Rapists and abusers abound down there.

I was really concerned about the third game of the season until Dalvin Cook got suspended. I actually think we might be in pretty good shape in the Atlantic division this year. Our defensive line was #2 in the country against the run and (basically) they are all back, and we don't have to play Pittsburgh this year so.... its all good.

The Noles are making a strong push for the Fulmer Cup.

It's getting so bad even the Tally PD can't keep this stuff tamped down.

IB. Shut it. BC has no chance.

They'll both end up at AU anyway.

The Dalvin Cook story smells funny. The plaintiff's affidavit is very strange and it wouldn't surprise me if this one ends up with an acquittal or charges being dropped. Of course then the narrative will be "sure they'll sacrifice the 4th string QB to save the star RB...". From what I understand, the girl claims that 5-7 FSU football players took turns punching her in the face and she ends up with only a bloody lip and a dirty knee, and her friend couldn't identify Cook but the plaintiff did "100%". No independent witnesses could identify anyone from the team as assailants, but they tell an entirely different story about what actually happened.

It's all part of the World Wide Anti-Nole Conspiracy (WWANC). Yes, I still miss VolTone.

Back to Raleigh/Cary next weekend so my son can make his third tryout for the USA National (baseball) team. Third time's the charm? Unlikely...I'm not sure they even have any slots even open on the 17U team. But it's good exposure for college scouts and has been the highlight of my year the last couple of years.

I may check into having him tour NCSU on Thursday as we'll have a bit of time and I think his high school looks at a college visit as excused. I'm not sure I'd want him to play for Avent...he seems like a dick.

One of his former coaches is a good friend of Kevin O'Sullivan, the head coach at UF. He called O'Sullivan a couple of months ago, urging him to come watch my son play. I think O'Sullivan is one of the top 3 coaches in the NCAA and it would be a tremendous opportunity for him to play there...but UF? Ugghhhhhh.....

The rational part of me says that if you get a chance to play for UF you take it - the rest of me says you have lost your fucking mind.

On a related note - Auburns softball coach watched my daughter (and others) play this summer in Panama City and we have already swapped info. But she is just a freshman so lots can happen.

fuckin Florida

fuckin Auburn

Yeah my niece is a big-time softball recruit. She is a sophomore this year - had a showcase in CO this summer where she balled out (like 17-22 at the plate with some great plays in CF), and the Syracuse coach offered her a full-ride up to 5 years on the spot. Her team just finished 2nd in the national championship and almost everyone on the team has scholarship offers to major schools already. She seems to like Mississippi State and Tennessee the best.

I know a few coaches have expressed interest in my son to his coach but they can't reach out until September 1st, so we'll see how much interest there is. Getting a full ride is very difficult, especially with his grades being decent but not stellar.

If UF is his best offer, I wouldn't hesitate to encourage him to go there. However O'Sullivan seems to like the power hitters and my kid is more of a line drive and speed guy (Perfect Game is the largest scouting organization in the world and his 60yd time is 12th nationally in his class). So I would be surprised if he gets a look from them. UF is very strong in the occupational area he wants to explore as well.
