Everyone went pretty hard. For all the current pack and unx players, they all had pretty typical games but Ill try to detail it anyways.
Zo looked really good; he defended and scored against Felton and Hodge who both were playing pretty hard. He seemed mature and confident. Kendall Marshal was there but he must have been injured cause he didnt play one minute, which was disappointing. Hodge and especially Felton played real well. I wont go into detail but Hodge did a good job of talking trash and yelling at Pack players if they were being soft.
I loved Alex Johnson's ability to penetrate handle the ball in half court. He is real quick and went at it with Felton, which was impressive to see that kind of confidence and competitiveness right away at a high level. His shot was a little off today. He should contribute asap when the season starts.
CJL, CJW, and Wood all had pretty typical games. Williams played pretty well. CJL showed off his shooting accuracy that he had flashes of last year and he played with intensity against Barnes and Henson. Wood was lights out from deep all day but he didnt play too much.
I hardly saw Vandy play, but Painter played a lot. He had an impressive mid range shot today, and also jawed with Sean May at times which was cool to watch. Henson and Zeller were both impressive, as usual.
Tyler Harris was late and only played a little, but he was impressive. He came in and showed some serious swag against Barnes, draining two straight threes in his grill, right off the bat. It actual turned to a bit of a rivalry, Barnes went very hard against him the rest of the game. I like Harris's game, he seems ready, and thats a great sign considering how good his brother is.
Shavlik Randolph stole the show at times, he probably had the most points today. He was the only Dukie there I believe. At first I thought he was Thomas de Thaey, which would have been sweet but unfortunately not true.
The walk on Smith, who is a senior now I think, had some impressive poise and aggression considering the level of comp. Jaquan Raymond was there, but I dont think he played at all. There were several other current and former UNX players there that I didnt mention, but it was cool to see them come out.

So I go into the Dollar General (the only store in this one stoplight town where I work) to get some lemonade mix and I'm standing in the middle of the aisle and let out a hot silent steamer as I'm strolling along so that I'm creating a wake for it to follow in. And it's bad, even to me. So right then, with no way to stop the general waft of this cloud, a decently hot chick (for here, anyway) comes cruising around the corner walking right towards me. I had not choice but to basically turn tail and run, but I'm sure even that wasn't enough to completely stem the tide of foul air that was wafting her way. I had my product and ran to the checkout and of course some dude was taking forever to pay, mainly b/c he and the sales clerk had gotten into a rave fest about tea. "My momma made de best tea!" Etc. Until finally the guy blurted out that he likes to put tea bags in a jar with water and leave it on the porch for 2 or 3 days. Even the clerk called his lying ass on that, noting that the bags would disintegrate if you left them soaking that long. He somewhat shamefacedly tried to retract, but she wouldn't drop it. I was torn b/w wanting them to just shut up so I could get out of there and being secretly happy that he had been caught in a lie. I'm still torn....

I told Stu I'd pay for his ticket the the Further (ex- Grateful Dead members) show coming to Raleigh in a couple of weeks if he would just agree to FINALLY leave the city limits of Wilson without his wife and kid for once in his life. He tentatively agreed a few weeks ago, but now I'm trying to lock down the tickets and he won't return my call. I even called his work and he wouldn't answer. Obviously his wife has made it clear that he's not allowed to go to this show with me, in her mortal fear that he may smoke some weed or something and he's too ashamed to face me now. As he should be...

I have no idea, I ran. It wasn't gag-worthy, but certainly wince-worthy. It was a nostril burner but not a barf-inducer. You know, tangy...

my wife is trying to rope me into taking her to a GD Def Leppard concert.
If I wanted to see a one armed drummer, I'd go down to the VFW on Saturday Night

"just take a good book"
In eCat's case, this would be a garage door opener manual or a shipping manifest...
