Looks like Phillip Simms is leaving Bama. Probably to Virginia. Pity.

We knew it was a possibility. Young man is too talented to sit the bench and even if he has to sit out a season, I believe he still will have two to play.

Yeldon will figure that out in a year.

Yeldon will get time and early.

Simms has sick parents.

Did Auburn ever find a RB to recruit this year?

I mean another RB to recruit this year.

Jovon Robinson, 4 star. With him, plus the return of O-Mac and Mason, plus the addition of Grant, Blakely (all four stars), RB is probably the deepest position on the team.

See, you didn't need Yeldon at all. He's much better off in Tuscaloosa where he won't have to ride the bench.

Richardson, Hightower, and Kirkpatrick leaving early.

The article says Hightower would have been eligible for a 5th year due to the 09 injury. I'm kind of surprised as that happened in game 4 v Arkansas and by then they don't normally give medical redshrits. The article also says Barrett Jones, Fluker, and R. Lester are returning for their senior seasons. I had already heard about Jones, but it's nice to hear about D.J. and Robert .

If Lacy needs a breather, Dee Hart will spell him. If Dee is spent, Brent Calloway can step in.

At the end of that daisy chain, I look forward to seeing Yeldon do his thing as a senior, after a redshirt year and three more as a stalwart special teams player. I think that's the year I'll retire, by the way.

Have avoided this place, as my last post here was right before we lost the GOTC.

AA, did you make it down to Nawlins for the game?

I did and it was worth every cent, especially saying goodbye to the 4 little LSU college punks that sat behind me during the game. I once threatened to throw one of them over the railing. He said "I hope he has a broken neck" while CJ was down on the turf. They STFU after that, except general grumbling about their own team. I also gave him a quick shoulder thrust(as if I was about to punch him) as he passed me walking down the steps. He nearly bowled over his 3 little buddies, trying to get away from the crazy old man.

Other than those punks and the LSU section(think it was the student section) that started up the LSU, LSU chant while CJ was down, the rest of the LSU fans were pretty civil prior to, during and after the game.

No, I didn't go. Haven't felt well of late. Gave my tickets to my son.
