A very solid list, except for "I Hope You Dance." I love Leann, but she's no Johnny or Willie or Loretta or Possum.
Seems like George Strait should make the list somewhere. "Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind" or "All My Ex's Live In Texas" deserve at least honorable mention.

I would say Leann would be 10a and Strait's All My Ex's is 10b
Keep in mind there are things left out like Devil Went Down to Georgia, You Never Even Call Me By My Name, King of The Road, Whiskey River

You Never Even Call Me By My Name
YES! "I was drunk the day my Mom got out of prison..." really is the best single verse ever written in country music.

A non-true country artist is easy to identify. When he wins the CMA entertainer of the year award, a true (sorta) country music artist sets fire to his nomination paper.

if any part of that gun control bill that crashed and burned would have stopped the mentally ill from getting access to guns (which it did not do) it might have passed.
as it turns out, the only reason why it did not pass was because that legislation was designed to hurt the very people who would have been willing and able to stop Lanza from murdering all those children
