There's been a bunch of bad info and rumors spread in just a few hours.

The police have a suspect under guard at the hospital. Two hours later the police state unequivocally that no suspects are in custody.

A 3rd bomb has gone off at the JFK Library. Two hours later, no just an unrelated fire.

The authorities ordered cellphone service be shut down because the bombs were set off by cellphone. Two hours later, Verizon and T-Mobile state that the networks were never shut down, just overloaded with traffic.

This is the effect of having 24/7 news channels with a lot of time to fill and people looking for any small scrap of info, however unconfirmed it may be

Rumor is the bombs were originally sold to a Mexican drug cartel by the ATF.

Gruesome photos being circulated...running into them by accident. At least 10 people had limbs amputated

Head of the PD just said at the news conference that absolutely no one at the hospital is a suspect. Perhaps that's playing words games, but that's what he said
