pfft, cigars. Our "guide" was former PGA player Mark Lye ("I was 2 strokes off the Master's lead on Sunday of '84 - let me show you where it all went south"). When we got to Berckman's Cabin he had to wait outside - heh. I got seated with Pete Coors (I lied and told him I drank his swill). Arnie told a couple of stories over dessert and then introduced his knockout granddaughter with the legs up to here. I shook Gary Player's hand and experienced a true vise grip. Lessee, there was a shrine to Bobby Jones. Did I mention Arnie's granddaughter's legs?

And kidding aside, Tick, I guess I had forgotten that you were a cigar smoker. What's your go-to brand when not smoking a pre-embargo "Cuban" worth more than my best polyester leisure suit?

Nah, I'm back into the old routine rat. I was pretty star-struck for a couple of days though.

I quit cigars for a long spell, AA. But now that I'm done buying life insurance I actually broke out the humidor and put in some orders. I tend to favor the lighter stuff, the candelas and claros. Currently I've got a full box of Arturo Fuentes 858 Jades, a few Macanudo Portofinos, and something from Temple Hall (apparently I long for the illusory Jamaican cigar).

I imagine your taste is Churchillian and that you go for the big darkies. heh

No, not much on the Churchill stuff. I reach for a robusto as my preferred vitola. As far as strength, I go for the heavy stuff: Oliva V, LFD AirBenders, Padrons, OSOK, and most Fuente products (a #77 shark is my fave).

Since you like the green stuff, you should try the Illusione candelas. Delicious.

Sorry Sardis, I'm just not up to speed on South American politics. Since our TN tea-party legislature has gone full Taliban (Jesus Akbar! Yeehaw!), we're mostly trying to learn as much as we can about those mountain villages between the Afghans and the Pakis.

I had to leave after the 1st round, crash, so I missed the incident on Friday.

Hey, in the annals of bad breaks, he probably had the biggest ever with that 15 flagstick - that should have been a bird instead of a triple. Four shots would have put him in the playoff.

There was some idiot going around shouting "Ridonkulous!" after several tee shots. Thank God he was gone by Sunday.

The bomb squad has found what they believe to be secondary explosive devices and are doing controlled detonations:

No words. RT @TimWilliamsCBS: #BREAKINGNEWS: AP reporter says Newtown families were in the VIP section right by the explosion.
