After the weekend's draft, Florida State became the first team in the modern draft era (1967) to have a player drafted at every position. But even more remarkable, Jimbo Fisher has that distinction in his relatively short 5 year tenure. So no college program has done in nearly 50 years what he has done in 5.

Just another testament to how remarkable he and his staff have been at identifying and developing talent across the board. Certainly recruiting has been one of his strongest abilities, but even more than that he has had several lower rated recruits developed into draftable players.

Also of note: the FSU-Louisville game last year featured 21 players that were drafted last weekend. That's ACC powah.

I wonder which position Bama is missing? QB, RB, OT, OG, C, TE, WR, DT, DE, LB, CB, SS, FS. P, all accounted for....maybe kicker? We've had some kickers in the NFL, but I'm not sure they were drafted.

It would surprise me if A&M had not had all positions accounted for...what are the positions? A&M is one of the few I know for sure that has had both a kicker and punter drafted as well.

I also don't believe FSU has had a punter drafted so they must just be counting Dustin Hopkins fulfilling any kicker position obligations.

Bama has had a couple of punters drafted. Maybe three since 1967. Our decent kickers that played some were all UDFAs, I believe.

In the last 5 drafts (The same period as Jimbo's supposed amazing accomplishment), here is A&M's list which also covers almost every position anyway. I highly doubt that having all the positions is some incredible accomplishment but it is impressive how much depth and talent FSU has had under Fisher.

Quarterback- Manziel (2014), Tannehill (2012)

Running Back- Michael (2013), Gray (2012)

Wide Receiver- Evans (2014), Swope (2013)

Offensive Tackle- Ogbuehi (2015), Matthews (2014), Joeckel (2013)

Offensive Guard- Harrison (2015)

Defensive End- Moore (2013)

Linebacker- Porter (2013), Miller (2010)

Cornerback- Frederick (2012)

Kicker- Bullock (2012)

A&M definitely has center, safety, punter, defensive tackle etc all covered, probably since about 1999 when punter Shane Lechler was drafted.

A&M most recently covered TE, C, and DT in 2008 with Martellus Bennett, Cody Wallace, and Red Bryant. Safety in 2003 with Terrence Kiel, and Punter in 1999 with Lechler.

Bama under Saban has every position covered except P/K.

Shit, sorry, I misread the stats...maybe I read it with a buzz over the weekend (or more likely I'm just a moron).

However, FSU had an offensive player drafted from every single offensive position (OT, G, C, WR, RB, TE, QB) for the first time ever (source).

And Fisher has had every position, offensive and defensive, drafted now - but no K/P as TAM pointed out. Dustin Hopkins was picked up as an UDFA but not drafted, and punter has been a sore spot for a few years.

Still a shit ton of drafted talent.

.@FSU_Football is 1st team in Common Draft Era (since 1967) to have a player drafted at every offensive position (OT, G, C, WR, RB, TE, QB)
Bama:

OT: Shepherd
G: Kouandjio
C: Mott
WR: Amari
RB: Yeldon
TE: Williams
QB: McCarron

Just picked the last true position player drafted that I can remember. Side note: Austin Shepherd (drafted this year) played every position on the o-line at one time or another during his career, including center, and TE.

Bama under Saban:

17 first rounders and 7 second rounders. We really should have more than three NCs with that talent under Saban.

Look at ATM defending his teams honor. (Although they were only ranked #36 this year with players picked) I believe FSU had every position picked besides LB & S. I don't count Special Teams.

Well, it is impressive. I listed the last players Bama had at each of those positions. Could not imagine having them all in one year.

Closest we came of having them all in one year was the 2011 or 2014 draft.

Well we set the record for a three-year span with 29 players selected. It probably would have been 30 but one of our OL failed multiple NFL team physicals because of bad shoulders. Next year will be a whole different story though, as Jalen Ramsey might be the only draftee. Then 2017 will be another Nole-filled draft. As long as it's preceded by a run at the NC, it'll be worth it.
