RIght before impact (especially in an open wheel car) you let go of the wheel because the wheel will wrench and twist when the physical force of the impact turns the wheels from the outside of the car and you can easily break a wrist or injure your hand if you still have it in your hand. Jimmie Johnson also let go of the wheel during his spin tonight.

Got tickets for the PIR on Sunday. I certainly hope that all the cars still in Florida will be here before then.

Screw Biffle. Didn't even try to win. This is what I hate about NASCAR your teammate is ahead of you, you help him win. They should make it acceptable to put a car into the wall or a jet dryer if they latch on to a teammate too long...

Biffle may have been planning to, but he bailed, I'm sure, because of orders.

As much as everyone is willing to give up to get RG3, Irsay really needs to think hard what he can get for Luck with or without Manning. There are still very good QBs in this draft besides them and just think of how many other pieces you can get for this year and NEXT year. Yes Luck could be the next Manning/Elway/Brady but he could also be average.

Today was fucking awesome!

My body is still shaking from the engines. It has been hours since the race ended, and all I can smell is gasoline, burnt rubber, smokey engines, stale beer, and barbeque. My ears are still ringing, all I hear is engines roaring.

The frustrating part was towards the end. Leader just hit lap 282 (just thirty, 24-second-laps to go) and I kept wanting the 29 car and the 9 car to make a move. They never did. The track was just too small, too short for anyone to make a move on the leader. All he had to do was just not wreck his tires like everyone else did today (I swear there must have been 10 times or more that the pace care came out, all blown tires.)

Nice people watching up on rattlesnake hill. Three bikinied girls wearing pink "lazytown" wigs were interesting to look at.
